Later that evening the whole gang, excluding Millie and Romeo, where in Gaten's basement. Finn was explaining what happened between him and Millie, Iris was standing beside him, receiving unsure looks from Sadie and Noah. As they went to a different middle school with Millie.

"You guys believe us, right?" Finn pleaded.

"Of course we do, I mean when you're with me Millie's like the only thing you talk about besides music," Caleb says, assuring his best friend.

"And I'm so sorry to have caused all this drama," Iris speaks up genuinely.

Sadie raises her eyebrows in surprise, maybe this girl wasn't so bad after all, "It's okay, helping Finn get Millie back is so cool of you."

"Thank you."

Sadie nods, her icy blue eyes no longer suspicious.

Gaten sets down his chocolate pudding, "So we have one thing settled, we all love Millie, and we all love Fillie. So we need to get her back."

"But how?"

A light bulb flickered over Sadie's head, "So you and Millie met in the park across from her house-"

Noah catches on, "So you should take her there-"

"And music is what brought you together so-" Caleb adds.

"So Finn, you should sing for her, a song she loves," Iris adds.

Gaten perks up, "Or even better-"

"I should write her a song," Finn finishes, a hopeful smile appearing on his face.

"Man, we are good," Noah stated, he high fives Caleb, which starts a chain reactions between the group. Nobody stops until they've high fived everyone, this ends in a fit of laughter.

"So, the question is, are we all going to be apart of the song, or will it just be you and your guitar?" Gaten asks seriously, because it's difficult to know which is more romantic, especially for Millie.

Finn's smile shrinks as he thinks, "I- what do you guys think?"

"You should do it-"

"Alone."

Every nods their heads in agreement, besides, what happens between Millie and Finn should be private.

Sadie scratches her head, "So, you better get to writing."

Finn nods, grabbing out his notebook from his backpack, along with his art sketchbook. He finds his completed charcoal pencil drawing he did of Millie for the human portraits unit. It looked pretty damn good. It took Finn like two weeks, but he was motivated to capture the true beauty of Millie Bobby Brown, not some two dimensional knock off.

Finn smiled faintly and blushed when thinking about the day Millie saw this drawing, and it wasn't even finished, but she loved it.

He flipped the thick paper over and began writing lyrics, erasing and rethinking words every now and then, this was not going to be half assed.

*insert beautiful and poetic song lyrics here, sorry I suck at writing song lyrics*

Finn turns around and faces all of his friends, all exchanging whispers and sending glances towards Finn, curious about his process.

"I think I'm going to go somewhere to write on my own, I- I've never written a song before and I don't think I can start the music with all of you here."

Everyone nods.

"Okay Finn."

"See you tomorrow."

"Best of luck."

Finn carefully places his things in his backpack, picks up his acoustic guitar and goes through the door, leaving the Matarazzo's basement.

Finn walks to the park, the place that reminds him so much of her. If he looks hard enough, he can see the fuzzy outline of Millie's house from his favorite spot in the vast garden.

*just pretend these lyrics are good, thanks*

A voice as soft as silk

It runs like water down my spine

You're all I'd ever want

Can't help but hope that you'll be mine

With your beautiful big brown eyes

Brighter than any star in the sky

Your hair that tickles my neck, when we intertwine

Know I'd never trade you for anyone

Every moment I've shared with you, I'd never want undone

Baby I'm falling, falling, and I've fell

I hit my back on the stone cold ground, I fell pretty bad

But as long as you're with me, you'll never see me sad

You're more beautiful than any flower here

You're almost funnier than I

I miss the days when we'd make each other laugh until we cry

Baby I've fallen, and I know why

You should've seen all the stupid things you've made me do

Baby I've fallen, I've fallen for you

Finn looks up from notebook, pleased with the heartfelt lyrics he's written on the back of the drawing.

"And now comes the hard part..." Finn mutters to himself. He takes his guitar out of his case, and starts testing out chord progressions.

It took Finn at least forty minutes to find just the right chords, that mesh with the lyrics perfectly. He grins and practices playing them through.

The air gets colder as the minutes pass by, Finn puts on his jean jacket, and checks the time on his phone. 7:53 p.m

I'd better start heading home, hopefully my song will be finished in a couple of days, Finn thinks to himself, gathering his things. He heads home.

Okay but I actually think the lyrics I wrote are kind of cute, who agrees?
