General
It was after school on the same day, and Millie's mind was swimming. The bell had just rung, most students were leaving to go home, or go to practice, but not Millie.
She entered the tech wing basement, where there was a single closed off room with a beautiful echo. And, surprisingly, it blocked out almost all the outside noise, it was perfect.
Millie is confused, her heart is getting mixed up with her head. So, she decides to write down her thoughts, her emotions. This always made Millie feel better.
Millie turned her thoughts into lyrics, her emotions into melodies. And, out of nowhere, Millie was singing a song of her own, about Finn.
She sang softly, an obvious tinge of pain and embarrassment in her voice. her voice echoed loudly in the small room with high ceilings.
Noah guides Finn around the basement of the school,"Yeah, I come down here a lot to work on my paintings after school with Mr. Keery. But, sometimes I hear someone singing, I don't where it comes from, but it's a really pretty voice."
"Mellifluous," Finn says, barley a whisper.
"What?" Noah asks.
"Nothing," Finn says quickly, covering up the fact that he would even know that word, let alone what it means.
"Yeah, I usually hear it somewhere around here."
The two boys go silent. Finn's about to turn around and check another area of the basement when her hears her, it had to be her.
You're so amazingly confusing. She sang.
Finn smiled, looking around for the room. He opened a couple of doors of some classrooms, but then it went silent. She must've heard the doors, they're very loud when they shut.
Finn sighed.
"Sorry man, but hey, are you going to Maddie Ziegler's party tonight?"
Finn smirks, "Yep."
"Okay, well come on, we can do homework at my house before we go," Noah says.
"Okay."
Millie let out a sigh of relief as she peeked out the door of her secret room, she had a feeling it wouldn't be so secret if that happened again.
Millie went home and did her homework on her balcony, like she always does on a sunny day. She was half way done with her math packet when she got a call from Sadie.
"Hello?"
"Hi Mils!"
"Hey Sads!"
"I'm coming over in half an hour so we can get ready for Maddie's party."
Millie groans, "Do we have to go?"
"Yes we do!"
"Okay fine," Millie said, secretly happy. Maybe she could finally gather the courage to talk to him.
"Okay see you soon!" Sadie said enthusiastically.
"Bye Sadie."
Millie sighed and did a couple more math problems.
She closed her book when she saw Sadie climbing the spiral stair case to Millie's balcony. Sadie and Noah have the spare keys to Millie's back yard gate. Millie's parents decided that since they're always visiting Millie anyways, might as well make it so they don't have to ring the doorbell.
"Okay, time to get ready!" Sadie squeals, dragging Millie to her closet.
Sadie came out of the closet, "Can I borrow this?" She said with a hopeful smile.
Millie grinned as Sadie did a mini dance, "Of course you can Sads."
Sadie had picked out a cherry red, off the shoulder crop top and a black denim skirt.
"WERK IT SADIE!" Millie shouted.
Sadie laughed and took out her own pair of red heels from her backpack.
"I had a hunch," she said pointing at her shoes and wriggling her eyebrows. Millie shook her head while grinning.
Sadie twirled around, her red wavy hair flowing behind her. She walked back into the closet and pulled out an array of different outfits.
"Okay Millie, how about this dress? It's so cute."
"And VERY short." Millie laughs.
"Then why do you have it?" Sadie said sassily, placing a hand on her hip.
"I wore it homecoming last year. Come on Sadie it's just a party, no dresses."
Sadie sighed, "Okay how about you wear these?" Sadie points to a pair of black, high waisted shorts in her other hand.
Millie nods.
Sadie picks out a pair of black heels that Millie immediately turns down.
"Sorry Sadie, but I only wear heels if I have to."
Sadie laughs, "I know, I was just hoping..."
Millie walks into her closet and picks out a white long sleeve crop top and her red high top converse.
When she walks out, Sadie gasps.
"OMG! Yes that is so you! And we'll match color schemes too!"
"Yes, it's me because I picked it out."
Even though Millie didn't want to admit it, she thought the matching color schemes was really cute.
A moment passes by as Sadie puts on her red lipstick.
"Okay..... the matching colors is really cute," Millie admits.
Sadie smiles, "We look hot."
Millie laughs, "You mean, you look hot."
Sadie flails her arms around in exasperation, earning a fit of giggles from Millie.
"You're killing me Mils! Okay just admit it, you're hot stuff!"
"Omg Sadie you're such a dork, now come on, let's go to that party."
Filler chapter, but it had some important things happen.
