Party
GeneralFinn entered the house, loud music and the smell of alcohol filling his senses. The air was humid, and the house was filled with dancing teenagers. He turned around and saw the host of the party.
"Hey there Finn," Maddie said flirtatiously.
Finn winked back at her and she giggled, probably already a little drunk.
(They're all sophomores in high school btw)Finn walked into the kitchen and saw his best friends, he chuckled at Gaten, who was drinking a Capri sun.
"Gaten, you pansy," Finn said.
"Dude, this is my pre-game," Gaten responded sarcastically, earning a laugh from Finn, Caleb, and Noah.
"See any hot girls?" Gaten said, sipping on his Capri sun.
"I just saw Maddie-"
"Hold up, nah uh brah she's dating Romeo."
"Ah, I see," Finn said while sitting down on the counter.
Caleb squints, trying to look at something behind Finn, but a warm smile grows across his face.
"Sadie!" Caleb calls. "Over here."
Sadie waves and walks over to Caleb, dragging Millie behind her. Millie's breathing hitches at the sight of Finn.
Caleb flashes his bright smile at Sadie, making her swoon, "Glad you could make it."
"Same here. Let me introduce you to my friend finally, this is M-"
"Mary," Millie covers up.
Millie grabs Sadie's wrist tightly and shakes her head. Sadie rolls her eyes.
"This is my friend Millie," Sadie finishes proudly.
Finn's eyes widen, but his facials expression quickly goes back to his normal smile. He waits to see if her accent is British, but Millie doesn't talk.
"Nice to meet you, Millie," Caleb extends his hand out to Millie, and Millie shakes it with a soft smile.
"Nice to meet you too, Caleb." She says with an American accent.
"Huh, Sadie told me you were British."
Millie gives up, I have to talk to Finn at some point, might as well be now.
"Uh yeah, sorry," Millie laughs, "I was testing out my American accent. Is it any good?"
"It's amazing, actually," Noah says, fake introducing himself to Millie, they're actually already friends. (Noah wanted Finn to figure it out on his own)
A pang of something hits Finn, was it jealousy? I'm not jealous, pft, I hardly even know this girl. And I could have anyone I want, why would I want her, it's not like she has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen, or soft pink lips-
Finn's thoughts trail off as Millie takes off her sweater, revealing her (fricking cute) outfit. His eyes trailed her up and down, but he found himself staring at her gorgeous golden brown eyes.
Millie felt Finn's gaze on her, and her cheeks flush a soft pink.
"I'm Gaten, nice to meet you ladies," Gaten said goofily. Millie smiled and waved at him.
Finn saw this as his turn to say hello.
"It's a pleasure meeting you two ladies," Finn says while sliding off his spot on the counter.
"I'm Finn," he says, and winks at the two best friends, Sadie giggles but Millie is silent. Millie's cheeks turn a bright red and she tries to hide behind her short brown hair which has fallen in front of her face.
Finn lets out a soft chuckle, and steps towards Millie.
"Here," he says in a low, quiet voice that sends a shiver down Millie's spine. Finn brushes a lock of Millie's hair behind her ear, Millie felt herself melting.
"Wouldn't want your hair to cover that pretty face of yours."
The group of newly acquainted friends all stare in confusion at the scene, Finn steps to his original spot.
Gaten leans over to Sadie and half whispers, "Did that just-"
Sadie answered him before he even finished, "I think it just did."
Gaten and Noah shake their heads.
What just happened? Millie thought while staring at Sadie's icy blue eyes.
What'd I just do? Ugh what if she thinks I'm creepy? Or too much of a player? Or...
"Okay, let's hit the dance floor," Caleb shouts enthusiastically.
To be continued...
