Millie and Finn walked towards the garden together in comfortable silence, every once a while stealing a glance at one another. The sun was setting, painting the scattered fluffy clouds a pinky orange. Millie turned to catch Finn staring at her, her cheeks flushed pink and she turned her attention back to in front of her, praying that Finn didn't notice her blushing cheeks.

They arrived at the garden, both simultaneously walking towards the same tree, the tree.

The warm weather mixed with the calming breeze seemed to set the whole garden into perfect place. Finn sat down under the tree, and turned to realize that Millie was gone.

" M-Millie?" He calls worriedly. Looking left and right for the mischievous girl.

Millie giggles from above, "Up here Finnie!"

Finn let's out a breath he didn't know he was holding, "You're dead Brown!"

He starts climbing the tree to get to Millie, the scratchy bark allowing grip for his slender fingers.

Millie starts to climb up the tree higher, "Is that so Wolfhard?" She says, her accent sharp like a knife.

Finn laughs, climbing faster. Millie's white converse coming closer into view. Soon, Millie runs out of thick branches to climb as the top of the tree tappers. Shit, she whispers to herself, inaudible to Finn.

"I got you now!" Finn says, hardly a foot below her. He sits across from Millie on an adjacent branch, and bends his fingers to look like claws, grabbing Millie's ankles and making an alien like sound. Millie giggles adorably, causing a grin to spread across Finn's freckled cheeks.

"You're an idiot, Finn Wolfhard."

"And you are beautiful, Millie Brown." Finn blurts out quietly, blushing hard, but playing it off with a smooth smile, Internally face-palming himself.

Millie's cheeks turn bright red, she giggles softly and looks down, her short, shiny brown hair forming a curtain around her face.

Finn reaches over, gingerly brushing the hair out of Millie's face and behind her ear. Millie's whole body heats up like a furnace at his touch.

Oh my god, what are you doing to me Finn?

Millie unknowing bites her bottom lip, still avoiding eye contact with those dark, captivating eyes. Because if she does, she'll get lost in his eyes and drown. She thinks of what to do next... ding, a light bulb turns on in her head.

"Hey Finn?" She says sweetly.

"Yeah?" He looks up at her, as the branch he was sitting on was lower than Millie's.

"Have you ever seen the that big wall of bushes here?" Millie says, her smile growing wider.

"Yeah... why?" Finn asks confusedly.

"Follow me, I have something to show you."

Finn grins, curious about what Millie wants to show him, "Okay."

The two start climbing down the tree slowly, but it soon becomes a race. Finn's black converse hit the lush green grass, "Beat ya!"

"No fair! You were down lower than me when we started!" Millie whines jokingly, jumping down shortly after Finn.

Millie grabs Finn's hand, surprised at how well their hands fit together. Not expecting how warm, and soft they are. Millie's face heats up, but she doesn't let go. She starts to drag Finn towards the tall wall of dark green bushes, so dense that you can't see through them.
