When I arrived at the university, I parked up and walked towards my accommodation, struggling with my bags. Half way to my accommodation, I dropped all of my bags and sighed, sitting down on a bench. I could have cried, I was so stressed. "Hey!" said a voice. I turned and saw this gorgeous guy running towards me, "want any help there?" he said smiling. I looked up into his deep, gorgeous piercing blue eyes. "That would be.. amazing. Thank you so much." I sighed, standing up. I reached for a bag and he stopped me. "Hey, it's okay, I'll get it." I watched him as he bent down and carried my bags, his amazing biceps tensed. "I'm Alex, by the way," he said, smiling at me. "Oh, I'm Lily," I replied, blushing. Part of me hoped he was Ashton, my room mate. But I knew it would be too good to be true. "So, what courses did you take?" he asked, his brown hair in a hot quiff. I smiled at him, "I took Psychology.. What about you?" I asked, tucking my hair behind my ear. He smiled a really big smile, "Me too! I took Psychology and Biology." I nodded, raising my eyebrows in amazement, "Wow! Not gonna lie, but that's gonna be hard!" He laughed and nodded, "Yeah but, I'll be alright. Especially if you're in my psychology class to keep me sane!"
When we got to my room, he dropped my bags by the door, "It was lovely meeting you, Lily. I'll hopefully see you soon in Psychology." He winked and walked off. I leaned against the door and sighed, "Jesus Christ. He was beautiful." As I put my key in the door, it swung open, making me jump. I looked in to see someone standing there. He looked like an ass, although he was really hot. He had brown hair that swept across his forehead, amazingly sculpted cheek bones, really nice lips and deep, burning hazel/brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie, a Ramones top and black skinny jeans with vans. He looked me up and down and I felt quite awkward. "Um, hi.. I'm Lily. I'm guessing you're Ashton?" I said, extending my hand, being polite. He stared at me for a second. Jesus, he was tall. "Nice hair. I'm Ash, not Ashton." You instantly recognised his accent- which was quite strong Australian. He ignored your hand shake and walked back into the dorm, lying back down on his bed going on his phone. "Thanks, I guess?" I'd recently dyed my hair pastel blue, so I guessed that was why Ashton had complimented me on my hair.
Once I finished unpacking, without any help from "Ash not Ashton", I went and sat cross-legged on my bed facing Ash, who was sat on his bed on his phone. "So, Ash," I said, trying to start a conversation to get to know him. He turned to me without saying anything. "Um, so.. you're from Australia, right?" I asked, not really knowing what to say and not wanting to sound offensive. He hesitated before nodding slowly, "Yes. I am." I waited for him to say something else but he didn't. I sighed in disappointment and at the fact that he had been so rude.
I turned away towards the wall and put my headphones in, turning the music up loud. I put Nickelback on and leant back on my bed, sitting up with my back against the head board and my legs out-stretched. "What you listening to?" he asked, but I didn't hear him. He came over and pulled my headphones out and I hit him. "Hey, Jesus! Calm the fuck down!" he shouted. I shook my head laughing, "Don't pull my headphones out then!" He sighed, rolling his eyes, "Oh I'm sorry, Lillian," he said sarcastically. I glared at him, "Don't call me that." He laughed at my reaction and shrugged, "What?! That is your name isn't it?" I breathed heavily out of my nose, "No. It's Lily." He smirked, "Awh, are you being grumpy?" he laughed at me. I swatted at him. "No! Now what did you even want??" I asked, getting really annoyed at him. He hesitated for a second, "Oh, that was it. What you listening to?" I sighed, looking at him, giving him a 'really?' look, "Uh, Nickelback. Why?" His eyes widened with surprise, "Really? You listen to Nickelback?" I looked at him strangely, "Yeah, they're really good! I like them," I replied slightly embarrassed. He shook his head, "No, no I know. They're awesome, I like them too. Can I," he blushed a bit, "listen with you?" I gave him a strange look, "Uh yeah sure, sure."
I handed him a headphone and he put it in. He was on his phone whilst he was listening to my music and singing to himself. I took my headphone out for a second to listen to him. He actually sounded really good! I smiled to myself and looked at him, smirking. He instantly stopped singing and pulled his headphone out, "What?" he looked slightly worried. I laughed at the way he reacted and smirked, "You." He frowned for a minute and furrowed his eyebrows, "What about me...?" I smiled at him, "Your singing then." He stopped for a minute and his face went bright red, "Oh God, I was singing." I laughed and nudged him, "You're not half bad." He looked at me strangely before shaking his head. "I'm not. I'm better at playing the drums," and with that he put his headphone back in.
Wow.
This guy was hot. I got so more attracted to him at the idea that he played the drums. He was a drummer. I seriously couldn't get over the fact that he played the drums. So, as usual, I played it cool. I smiled and out my headphone back in and didn't mention it again.
Soon, the time was 12pm and I had to go to my first lecture at 1pm. I still needed to get to grips with the whole place so I put my shoes on and threw on my parka. "Where you going?" Ash asked, turning away from his computer to look at me. "I've got my first lecture at 1. I still need to find where my lecture room is," I said. Ash's eyes widened, and he jumped out of his chair rummaging through his boxes and bags, "Shit! What's the time?" I frowned, wondering why he'd reacted so startled, "12.." His mouth dropped open a little, "My lecture starts in 5 minutes." I couldn't help but laugh a little, "Go quickly!" He looked around desperately, "I don't even know where my stuff is! Ahh, fuck it! I'm just going. I'll see you later. Meet me at the canteen at 2??" I nodded, "Yeah, sure." I was confused as to why he'd asked to meet me, but nevertheless, I still wanted to meet him there.
