Chapter 1

I got off my bus in front of school. "Thank you for taking the highway bus to hell" I could almost imagine hearing the bus driver say.

I opened the door and walked down the hall to my locker. I put my bag inside and I took out my book and folder for algebra. As I close my locker I looked up, it was Brad , my boyfriend.

"Hey Alli" he gave me a kiss. Alli was my nickname , short for Allison.

"Happy 1 year anniversary!" I said.

"Happy 1 year!" He kissed me again, "I got you something"

"Brad , you didn't have to.."

He interrupted, "oh , but I did."

He took out a little black velvet bag. Inside it was a ring with a heart shaped diamond looking stone.

"It's not real diamond , but it's still something special , it's a promise ring , a promise for us to stay together no matter what and one day to get married."

I stared at the beautiful ring.

"I love it , thank you so much!" I gave him a hug and I put it on my ring finger on my left hand.

"I love you" he whispered.

"I love you too." I looked up at him and smiled.
