Thats all Lance thought after Keith and the rest besides him and the alteans was caught and killed by the Galra right in front of his eyes. The ship was very quiet without Keith and the rest of them. Lance loved loudness, then nothing.
"Lance, are you ok?"
"......"
"Lance?"
"no."
"Lance I know its hard but we have to find new paladins."
"i know, i know."
"Come on, its been a month."
"go find some aliens or whatever."
"Lance you have to be there."
"I know Allura, just you find and I judge and train."

"Welcome, possible future paladins, my name is Allura, this is Coran, and thats Lance."
"You will be tested on your skills those 8 will be the finalist. It will then be up to the lions."
"Yes, whats your name?" Lance asked after a woman raised her hand.
"Lexis, um just wondering? What happened to the rest of the paladins."
Lances breath hitched.

"The top 8 are, Lexis, Janna, Juie, Jax, Huble, Thacis, Alexia, Luna. The rest of you may go home."

"Looks like we have new Paladins Lance."
"yep. Congratulations to, Lexis, blue paladin, Huble, red paladin, Luna green paladin, and Alexia, yellow paladin. The rest of you may go home thank you for coming."

"We will start with telling us where your from."
"Hi I am Lexis, and I come from planet Getis."

"And I am Lance from Earth so were all the previous Paladins."
"I am Allura from planet Altea so is Coran. Now you can ask Lance some questions."
"Um how hard is training."
"Alexia, the training is like this then we usually eat dinner."
"What were the names of the previous Paladins."
"Black paladin, Takashi Shirogane, Shiro for short. Red paladin."
His breath hitched.
"Red Paladin, K-keith Kogane..... my partner. Blue paladin, me. Green Paladin......... she was to young... her name was Katie she whent by Pidge........... yellow paladin my best friend......... Hunk."
Lance was crying not hard just slightly.
"May I asked what happened."
"t-they were k-killed by the galra r-r-right in front of m-me. pidge she was to young that should have been me, then they would just have to find one paladin. I have to go."
Lance got up and went to the control room where they had the tombstones of them. He sat in front of Keith's.
"what am I going to do keith, we got new paladins, I will never have a near close bond as a did with you guys, it should have just been me, not you not shiro, not pidge, not hunk, if I was there 1 mil-a-second you would still be alive or we would all be dead. god what am i going to do."
"Lance, are you ok."
"what do you think allura."
"I know its hard. Its good that you told them. Do you want any dinner?"
"No I am going to bed."
"Don't do anything that any of them or I or them." She pointed at the stones.
"Wouldn't want you to do. Good night Lance."
Lance walked into his room knowing what Allura meant don't kill myself or cut myself. He wasn't he for once truly just wanted to sleep, and wake up and it all be a dream. So he just went to bed.

"Morning hun."
Lance looked up and saw Keith.
"Keith? KEITH OH MY GOD ARE YOU REAL!!!"
"Um I think I would know if I wasn't?"
"Oh my god Keith I need to get up see everyone else!"
"Calm down."
"Sorry the dream, it was horrible, I need to see everyone."
Pidge, Hunk, Shiro  all alive. He told them what happened in clear detail. Then it all dissolved into nothing and Lance woke up. So he got up got breakfast with the new team taught them how to train. Told them to go bond with the lions. While his sat inside Black and cried as she soothed him telling him sweet nothings.
