Sick days

Lance doesn't take sick days. Back on earth he couldn't, he had school then he had work to help support his family. There was no such thing as a sick day. He would just grab ibuprofen and try to survive. With that he has a really good immune system so he rarely gets sick. Then of course now he's in space and he gets sick. He woke up with a pounding headache, he stood only to sit back down. He was too dizzy to stand. He felt cold all over except for his head. He tried to get up again and ended up stumbling into the bathroom and only making it to the sink before he threw up. Lance knew this would take more than ibuprofen, but he'll be screwed if he missed a day of training. He forced himself off of the floor and got dressed. He walked as quick as he could in order to be on time to breakfast.
"Lance you're late." Allura grouched
"Sorry princess I had some trouble getting up this morning." He attempted to sound upbeat and happy
Allura looked at him as he sat down.
"Anyway, today we are going to work on team work. Meaning we will do the maze and work on protecting your teammates." Allura clasped her hands together trying to get the team hyped up. No one groaned at the statement this was considered easy training. After a couple bites of food go Lance was starting to feel worse.
"Allura since this is a semi easy training day may a afford to skip I'm not feeling to hot."
"No Lance just because it's easy does not mean you can skip out."
Lance took a deep breath. This was gonna be hard.

Lance was standing at the start of the maze.
"Alright Lance go forward two steps." Lance walked forward the right amount of steps. The movement made his head throb with pain.
"— to the left."
Lance turned to the left.
"How many steps, I couldn't hear?"
"Five steps Lance."
Lance took five steps and got hit with electricity. He head filled with static he could hear Keith saying that he over estimated how far it was. Lance felt even more dizzy than he was. He felt like was gonna puke but swallowed it back down. He slowly stood back up.
"Alright, what's next."
"Turn left and take a step."
"Alright, should I go forward again?"
"Yes 2 more steps."
Lance nodded and took to big of a step and his foot hit the wall.
"C-can we be done please?"
"Seeing as you're the last one, sure."
"Thank you." Lance ran out of the training room and got to his room. He made it to the toilet this time and vomited again. He felt gross in his amor and then he felt even grosser throwing up. Shortly after he heard a knock on his door.
"Lance are you ok buddy?"
"Yeah Hunk, just a little tired."
"Ok, dinner is in 30 minutes don't be late Allura has something to tell us."
"Thanks Hunk."
Lance got up from where he was sitting, removed his armor was well as he could and put on his normal clothes. Once his head hit the pillow he was asleep. Lance didn't make it to dinner that night. When he woke up in the morning he felt even worse. He made his way slowly to the dinning room.
"Lance why weren't you at dinner last night." Allura scolded as soon as he walked in.
"I'm sorry Allura I wasn't feeling great, I'm still not so I must've just fallen asleep."
"You shouldn't be sick, this castle filters out all known bacteria you have a .001% chance." Allura lifted an eyebrow as if she were a mom trying to see if her kid was faking an illness to get out of going to school. (*in sarcastic tone* I've totally never done that.)
"Allura I just feel that great I'm sure I'm just tired." Lance knew he wasn't tired he knew he was sick but didn't want to let Allura or his team down. He needed to still train. Their were no off days for soldiers. Lance eventually zoned out and wasn't listening. He didn't even eat. Once training started he knew he was royalty fucked. It was endurance training. Of course it had to be endurance training. They all got into a block formation and we're to see who could run the longest distance without slowing down or collapsing. They started to run. Lance unsurprisingly collapsed, dry heaving, in a ball on the floor. Everyone kinda stopped. This wasn't like Lance he could go longer than any of them when it came to running. Shiro walked towards the sick boy on the floor.
"Lance bud are you ok?"
Lance still struggling to breath nodded his head in response.
"You sure don't look fine."
"I'm, fine." Lance said coughing in between.
"Lance, you're sick, you need to go to a pod."
"No no no. I can't, there's no sick days."
"Lance you're allowed to be sick."
"No, I have to train I have to get better."
Keith walked over and grabbed Lance from where he was laying.
"You're going to the pod."
"No."
"To late."
Keith started to walk towards the pods. Lance kept saying no I can't, I have train, I have to be better. Keith threw Lance into the pod and closed it. He shook his head and walked out. He could've avoided this if he had just taken a sick day. If only Allura believed him in the first place.
