Rules For New Paladins

Allura wanted the Paladins to make rules for new Paladins for later years. They all made their own. Lance, Keith Hunk, Pidge, and Shiro. This is Lances.
"Rule number one, you must always smile. I always smiled. I did it no matter what.
As they say smiling is the best cure for sadness. Rule number two, you must never show your true feelings. As a boy that is a sign of weakness. Always seem happy, I was "happy". Rule number three, be tough. I worked out to seem tough like I had a purpose. Now it's to save the universe. Rule number four, have good grades. It used to be about getting into a good college now it is about what the percent is or how fast you can take down your opponent. Rule number five, don't fall in love. Look around do you see someone cute on the team that you might have a crush on. Suppress those feelings right now because it will be easier to bare if they get hurt or die." Lance paused for a moment and looked down as if remembering something." It would tear you apart. Rule number six, follow all the princesses rules. She doesn't take lightly to failure, I mean it makes sense we are in a war. Rule number seven, fly with caution, trust me on this one I have almost died forgetting about that. You can be just flying along then BOOM! You have hit an asteroid or you get stuck between a galra fleet. Or whatever you are fighting for the good of the universe. Rule number eight, sleep. I don't care if you are trying to find your leader in the astral plane or their stuck in a prison you need to sleep. Not enough sleep can kill you. Rule number nine, stay quiet unless spoken to on a diplomatic mission. Let your leader or the princess talk. But you only talk unless spoken to. And the final rule, rule ten, Keep a journal to write ideas down in, or your feelings, or just to document what is going on with paladin life." Lance was interrupted by alarms. "Shit, um so I have to go but these are rules to being a paladin." Lance put his helmet on and ran out of the room. Allura never looked at Lances tape asuming it'd be all happy when she showed it to new paladins she was upset that she never noticed how upset Lance was. But hey he lived out his entire life all the paladins did they made it back to earth then when they died, they needed new paladins as a new alien race was starting to take over the universe. She never knew how upset he truly was.

Short one shot I know but state testing is coming up so I stressing over that because it's in less than a week.
