Ever since Lance was able to go back home he always changed alone and with the door closed. Especially if it was his shirt. When they went to visit Veradera beach he kept a swimming shirt on. Lance had reasons for this of course. No one had seen him shirtless since maybe when they were all dying and the Garrison was trying to keep them alive. But he wouldn't know. Late at night Lance would look at his biggest scars. Trying to find closure. It's not like he disliked them he just didn't want his family to see. He doesn't want to scare them anymore than they have already been. He looked at the clock. 3:00AM. He sighed and went to go grab a shirt before he went back to bed. He grabbed a shirt and stopped. He heard faint crying. His brotherly instincts kicked in and he ran to his nephews room. In the process he dropped his shirt. When he enter the room he immediately went his bed.
"Sylvio, sylivio, hey, hey, hey, shhh. It's ok I'm here, shh. Tengo que sabre, te tengo, Solo respira." Lance felt sylvio throw himself onto him. He held him close. He held him so close.
"I had a bad dream." He said sniffing
"I know, I heard you crying."
"I don't want you to go."
"That's ok. Do you want me to stay with you for the rest of the night?"
"Yes please." Sylvio nodded slowly
"Ok let's get back in bed." Lance crawled in with his nephew. He pulled up the sheets and they didn't cover his back but, what does he care. He needs to protect his nephew. Morning came and Lance forgot all about the night before. Until he woke up in his nephews room on the floor. He got up and walked into the kitchen and saw his mom eating cereal.
"Morning mama." Lance said with a yawn
"Morning mijo."she said without looking up to see her son shirtless for the first time since he's gotten home. He grabbed a bowl and sat in front of his mom.
"How'd you sleep, sylvio already headed off to summer school and said you were in his-"
She stopped when she looked up. She saw her son with scars on his chest, lines or weird splotchy looking circles.
"Oh mijo. Are these what you were trying to hide?" She sounded sympathetic
"Yes.......and one more." Lance got quieter as he continued.
"Let me see." Lance stood up and turned around showing his back with a few circle splotches but the hug burn scar that looks tighter than the rest of his skin. Lance turned back around to see his mom in tears.
"I'm so proud of you mijo. I never tell you how proud I truly am." She got up in the process of talking and moved towards him.
"You don't know how much I missed you mama."
They hugged and cried together. Lance talked about his experience. Talked about everything, he found his closure.
