200 days//Anthony Trujillo (On hold)

Day 1

I open my eyes and stretch, surprised that I was for once not getting woken up by a prank.

I check my phone and see that it's nearly noon. Wow it is seriously rare to get a lie in at the team 10 house with no pranks. After getting out of bed, I slip an oversized hoodie on since I'm only wearing a tshirt and underwear and leave my room.

I hear people talking in the kitchen as I go downstairs and see a cleaner cleaning up the mess from last night. The party had got wilder as the night had gone on and more people kept showing up so the downstairs of the house had got kind of trashed. As I reach the kitchen I see it's the Ohio trio that is talking. Jake and Chance are sitting on the stools while Anthony is getting something out of the fridge.

"Morning Kenz" Chance says, noticing me.

"Morning" I smile at him as well as Jake and Anthony.

"Want some eggs?" Anthony asks taking a box of eggs out of the fridge and shutting it.

"Sure" I sit done next to Jake.

"So what's everyone up to today?" I ask them.

"We're gonna go to Big Bear to go snowboarding for a few days if you wanna join" Jake says.

"Yeah I'm down" A road trip would be fun. Especially if Anthony was there. "Who's all going?"

"Just us three. And you now"

"Cool" I smile "When are we leaving?"

"7 so we can hit the slopes first thing tomorrow" Jake tells me.

"Sounds good, I need to go shopping to buy warm clothes though since I have none"

"So do we, we can all go together after breakfast" Chance says putting his phone down.

"Here you go guys" Anthony places four plates of scrambled eggs on the counter.

"Yo these look so good. Where did you learn to cook?" I ask grabbing a fork.

"Me and Chance used to work in a kitchen back in Ohio" he says smiling.

"Great I'll be getting you to cook for me from now on" I grin.

"Maybe" Anthony winks and sits down next to me.

"Oh my god stop flirting" Jake says loudly.

I ignore him "So where's everyone else?"

"Erika left for Miami this morning and Tessa, the twins and Nick went to some sort of event which they'll be at for most of the day" Chance informs me.

"So I'm stuck with you guys all day?"

"Yup and the next few days when we're in Big Bear" Anthony says smiling.

"Yayy" I say sarcastically. "Right I better go get ready" I stand up.

"Umm Mackenzie"

"What Jake?"

"Put some pants on"

"Oh shit" I mutter realising that my hoodie was caught on my waist and my underwear was completely on display. I quickly pull my hoodie down and turn round to see Anthony staring.

"Tony!"

"What? You've got a nice butt"

I glare at him then turn back round and go upstairs to shower.

I flop down on my bed, exhausted by all the shopping we had just done. I was starting to get more and more anxious as the day went on about the phone call I was going to receive.

I decide that I should pack then start editing my vlog from yesterday so I can upload it before we leave. I mange to pack quickly since I just bought most of the stuff I need then I grab my laptop and camera and go downstairs where I sit at Nicks desk since he's not back yet. I put my headphones on and start editing which I, for some reason, find quite relaxing.

I'm almost done when I feel my phone buzzing beside me. I glance at it to see it's an unknown number. Oh shit. Here we go.

I take off my headphones and swipe to answer the call.

"Hello?" It comes out quietly.

"Hi Mackenzie it's Doctor Tancredi, is now a good time to talk?"

"Yeah" I look around the room to see the only other person was Anthony, sitting on the couch on his phone.

"Unfortunately the results we got back from your tests are not the ones we were hoping for" she starts.

"Oh" I say quietly.

"You're cancer came back a while ago but we were unable to detect it in your last set of checkups and by now it has spread through your whole body meaning it is too late to treat"

"What?" I feel tears forming in my eyes.

"I'm so sorry to have to tell you this Mackenzie but in about two hundred days the cancer will fully take over your body and ultimately kill you"

"200 days?" I whisper. By now tears were flowing down my face. "You have absolutely no way of slowing it down or stopping it?"

I glance over at Anthony to see him looking at me worriedly.

"No, you have a rare type of cancer which is impossible to treat, let alone cure and that along with your relapsed liver cancer is too much for your body to fight. I would like you to come into the hospital as soon as you can so we can run more tests and we talk properly about it. I'm so sorry that this has to happen to you Mackenzie, I really am"

"Okay" I manage, now in too much shock to talk properly.

"Okay bye for now" I hang up the phone and place it down next to me laptop.

I start crying harder the more I think about it and put my head into my hands, leaning my elbows on the desk.

200 days. 200 days till I die. There's so much I want to do with my life and now it's over. Finished. Fuck cancer.

"Mackenzie? What's wrong?" I look up to see Anthony looking extremely concerned.

I shake my head as the tears fall even harder. He opens his arms and I fall into them.

"Come on" he says softly as pulls me up and half carries me over to the couch where he sits down with me on top of him and lets me cry into him. I don't know how long we were there for but eventually I fall asleep in his arms.
