Mackenzie and Anthony have been best friends for 6 months but after Mackenzie is diagnosed with cancer and told that she only has 200 days left, things between them change.
"That's so weird I went to sleep at like 5pm yesterday. How did I mange to sleep for 16 hours?" I sit up.
"I dunno" he shrugs "But it's time to get up"
I stand up and go upstairs to shower.
After showering I put some comfy clothes on since I'm not planning on doing anything today.
I go back downstairs and decide to order postmates for breakfast since I'm starving.
"Morning Kenz" Tessa says as she comes into the kitchen.
"Morning T, want anything from postmates?"
"No thanks I'm just about to go to the gym but can you film something with me later?"
"Yeah sure. I'm free all day"
"Okay good" she smiles "I'll see you later" she says getting a water bottle out of the fridge.
"Bye have fun at the gym"
"Bye" she waves then leaves the house.
I lie down on the couch and go through my social media while I wait for my postmates to get here. I notice that Anthony had posted a picture of the Ferris wheel yesterday and tagged me in it. I like and comment on it then click on his account and start scrolling through his photos.
"Having a little stalk are we?" I hear Anthony behind me.
I jump "Woah you scared the shit out of me"
"I caught you" he smirks.
"What? Don't pretend that you don't stalk me all the time"
"Maybe I do. Maybe I don't" he moves my legs and sits down on the couch so I put my legs on top of him.
I scroll through Twitter for a while until I get a text that my postmates is here.
I stand up and walk to the door just as the doorbell rings. I open it and am handed the bag of chikfila that I ordered. After thanking the delivery guy I close the door and sit back down on the couch.
"Chikfila for breakfast?" Anthony asks.
"Yeah I ordered extra, want some?"
"Of course. Thanks Kenz" he smiles showing off his dimples.
"Did you know Martinez are coming home today?" I ask eating a chicken nugget.
"Are they?" His face lights up "I missed my twins so much"
"Yeah they'll be here at 8"
"We should throw them a surprise party they've been gone for like more than a month" he suggests.
"Yeahh lets ask Jake when he gets back. He's at a meeting right now"
"Okay. Do you wanna come to the gym with me? I'm going in half an hour"
I think for a moment. "Nah I need to help Tessa film when she gets back but do you wanna go and buy stuff for the party after you're back?"
"Yeah sure" He smiles "it's a date"
"No it's not" I laugh.
He winks at me then goes back to eating. 10 minutes later he stands up.
"Sure you don't want to come to the gym?"
I nod "Yeah, I'll see you later"
"Okay" he walks towards the stairs to go to his room and get changed.

Tessa got back from the gym an hour ago and we are now filming a truth or dare video for the team 10 channel.
"Truth or dare?" I ask her.
"Truth" she grins.
"Okay umm" I try to think of a truth. "How many people have u kissed in this house?"
"5" she blushes.
"Wait who?"
"Well Jake made me kiss him, Anthony and Emilio for a contest and I kissed Erika when we did that kissing booth thing"
"So who's the fifth?" I ask smiling even though I already knew.
"Uhhh doesn't matter" she blushes an even deeper shade of pink. "You're turn. Truth or dare?"
"Dare"
"I dare you to" she looks around the room for inspiration. Just then the door opens and Anthony walks in, all sweaty from the gym "I dare you to kiss Tony" she smirks.
"Huh?" Tony walks over to where we are sitting at the table.
"Wanna kiss Mackenzie?" Tessa asks him.
"I'm mean... I'm down" he looks at me and I feel my cheeks turning red.
"Okay but only a peck. We're not making out or anything"
"Fine" Tony shrugs.
I stand up and so does Tessa, grabbing the camera. I put my hand on Anthony's shoulder. I lean in and our lips touch sending tingles down my spine. I pull away immediately and Anthony smiles at me.
"YES MACANTHONY. You guys can all thank me later for that" Tessa shouts at her camera.
"Right I gotta go shower but Jake said yes to the party so we'll go shopping after?" He asks as Tessa sets up the camera on the table again.
"Yeah sure" I smile and he leaves the room.
I was certain now. Certain that I liked him as more than a friend.
