Day 23
Tomorrow morning we are leaving for London so I decide to start packing rather than leaving it to the last minute like I usually do.
"Hey babe" Anthony walks into my room as I get my suitcase out.
"Hey Toner" I stand up and kiss him.
"I can't wait for tomorrow" he says sitting down on my bed.
"Me neither. Have you packed?"
"Not yet. Can you help me?"
"Yeah if you help me with mine"
"Okay but I actually wanted to ask you something first. It's been on my mind for a while but I've never really found the right time to bring it up"
"What is it?"
"It's about your family. Do they know? Are you gonna go and visit them?"
"Oh" I look down. I hardly ever talk about my family or my life before I moved to LA.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to" he holds my hand comfortingly.
"No I need to get it off my chest. I've never really told anyone" I sit down next to him knowing this is going to be a hard conversation. "So I'm an only child and I was basically a mistake. My mom was 18 when she got pregnant with me and she was really drunk when she hooked up with my dad. She doesn't even know who he was so I have no idea who my father is. Then when I was 2 she decided that raising a kid on her own was too much so she put me in a foster home. I grew up in the foster system and was put with various families over time but they only wanted me for the money they would get paid monthly"
Anthony listens to me carefully, nodding along to what I'm saying.
"Then when I turned 18 I was finally got out of the foster system and was free to do whatever I wanted. First thing I did was find my mom who was only a town away. I went straight to her house and gave her a piece of my mind, telling her how much of a shitty person she was for abandoning me like that. She didn't even say sorry. She just told me to leave. So I did, and I went straight to the airport and flew to LA where I restarted my life" I quickly wipe away a tear which had slipped out. She's not worth crying about.
"Oh my god" Anthony hugs me. "I'm so sorry Mackenzie"
I keep my arms round him and rest my head on his shoulder, trying not to cry.
"Your mom really messed up by not knowing you. You're the most amazing, caring, funniest person I've ever met. And you're hot as fuck" he winks pulling away from our hug.
"Thanks Anthony" I force a smile. "Now let's go pack"

After we finish packing both we go downstairs where everyone is hanging out.
"Finally Macanthony made an appearance" Jakes shouts.
"What's up?" Anthony asks sitting down on the couch.
"I wanna do a couple thing for my vlog of you guys vs Chessa before you all leave tomorrow"
"And what will we have to do?" I ask.
"Answer questions about each other, maybe a kissing competition at the end" Jake says casually.
