Mackenzie and Anthony have been best friends for 6 months but after Mackenzie is diagnosed with cancer and told that she only has 200 days left, things between them change.
My alarm wakes me up at 6am the next morning. After moving a sleeping Anthony's arm off me I get up and go for a quick shower. When I'm finished I wake Anthony up and he goes in the shower while I get ready. I get dressed and put on a little bit of makeup then dry my hair and straighten it. I then make sure I have everything packed and go downstairs where I still have 20 minutes till the time we all agreed to leave which is 7:20 since our flight boards at 10:40.
I decide to eat some breakfast while I'm waiting for the others and I also make sure they I have an Uber ordered for the right time.
"Mackenzieee" Tessa hugs me. "I'm so excited"
"Me too" I smile at her "do you want coffee?" I ask making my own.
"Yes please" she sits down at the island. "I love how the boys aren't ready yet when everyone says that girls take the longest to get ready"
"I know right. What do they even have to do? They don't need to do their hair or put on makeup or-"
"Are you talking about me?" Anthony asks wrapping his arms round me from behind.
"Of course not" I say sarcastically then turn round giving him a smile.
"Hmm" He raises his eyebrow.
"Love you" I kiss him then turn back round and take a sip of my coffee.
"I love you too" he rests his head on my shoulder. "But why did we have to get such an early flight? I'm tireddd"
"Drink this" I hand him a coffee. "Is Chance nearly ready?"
"Dunno" he shrugs "he's probably still sleeping"
"Shit" Tessa stands up. "I'll go get him. The Uber will be here in like 10 minutes"
I sit down on the couch and Anthony sits down next to me just as Jake walks downstairs.
"Oh my god I don't believe it. Anthony Trujillo is awake at 7am! Hold on I have to vlog this" Jake runs out of the room and reappears a second later with his camera.
"Guys today we have an extremely rare sighting of Anthony awake before midday. This means that he is well and truly whipped by Mackenzie. If a girl can get you up this time then she's a keeper"
"Shut it Jake" Anthony sticks his middle finger up at the camera. "I can't wait to be away from you for two weeks"
Suddenly Chance appears downstairs and Jake rushes over to vlog about him being awake as well.
"He is right though" I laugh.
"No he's not"
"Yeah he is"
"Uber's here" Tessa shouts.
We all rush to the door with our luggage saying bye to Jake on the way out then cram into the Uber and head towards the airport.
Once we arrive at LAX we check in our bags and go through security and everything quite quickly.
"I cannot wait for the first class seats" Chance says as we sit down at our gate.
"Me too" Tessa says playing a game on her phone.
"Imma go get food. Anyone want anything?" Anthony stands up.
"No" Tessa and Chance both shake their heads.
"I'll come with you" I stand up as well.
Anthony smiles at me and takes my hand as we walk away from Chessa. We go to a small store and get some snacks. I also buy some earphones so I can watch the tv on the plane since I only have the iPhone 7 ones.
"This is gonna be such a good vacation" Anthony says "getting to relax with my best friends without having a camera shoved in my face every 5 seconds"
"Me too I can't wait to explore London tomorrow there's so much I wanna do"
We pay for our stuff then hear the announcement that our flight is getting boarded so we quickly rush back over to where Tessa and Chance are waiting for us.
We make onto the flight and find our seats pretty quickly. Anthony and I are beside each other with Chance and Tessa in the seats in front of us. After 30 minutes the flight takes off and I pick a movie to watch.
A few hours into the flight we get food which isn't very nice so I just eat the snacks that we bought at the airport.
We finally land in London at 6am which is rubbish because it means that we will have to stay up all day in order to beat jet lag but knowing all of us we'll end up having a nap.
We all get off the plane and get through customs quickly then wait for our luggage at baggage claim.
"This is gonna be a long day" Tessa yawns. "A good day though"
