Drifting into a peaceful slumber, I was about to doze off when I vaguely heard a light tap tapping sound on my window. Tap tap tap. It was light, barely a whisper, but I was too drowsy to even give a darn, so I just ignored it, telling myself that it was probably just the trees. I was about to drift off once more, but the tap tapping sound suddenly became more insistent and unignorable.

"Ughh!" Groaning in frustration, I grumpily got up from my bed and proceeded to the source of my peaceful night's disturbance with a deep frown and a cutting glare---there can only be one person who could be so shameless to be tapping on my window sill at this ungodly hour; and just as I suspected, the person I found leaning towards my windows---with her wild blonde curls being swept by the harsh wind all over her lovely face---was none other than Lisa, my crazy ass bestfriend.

"Hi." She greeted, tucking her untamed curls behind two delicate ears. She's sporting a stupid, yet adorable, grin on her full set of lips, and I begrudgingly forgave her for interrupting my precious sleep. I mean, how could I stay mad for too long at this adorable girl and her charming smile?

Instead of returning her warm greetings however, I pretended to be mad at her still and greeted her coldly

Instead of returning her warm greetings however, I pretended to be mad at her still and greeted her coldly. "What do you want?" I mustered in a fake-annoyed tone.

Her cheeky smile melted and turned into a playful pout. "Aww don't be like that! I know you're happy to see me too." She proclaimed, flashing me her best puppy dog eyes for she knows my willpower isn't strong enough to resist her like that.

Instead of giving in, I only rolled my eyes at her as I held back an infectious grin that's making its way to my lips. "Just come inside, it's chilly out there." I beckoned and went straight to my bed without looking back to check on her---my room is situated just on the first floor so I wouldn't worry about her, hurting herself. Quietly shuffling on her feet, she made her way inside, but the quiet silence of the night is suddenly disturbed when she closed my windows with a loud thud!

Quickly turning my head to shoot her a glare, I watched as my friend's eyes shone with mischief as she clamp down her mouth with one hand to hold back a giggle. "Oops!" She let out.
