(GxG) Friends Can Break Your Heart Too || JENLISA (COMPLETED)

Book 2?

I know not having the second part is hard but you must understand, I really did my best to finish this book even though I was already done with the story just so that I won't let you guys hanging. I spent two years writing this, and it's a really heavy investment of time that I don't want to invest again just for a book 2.

To ease your minds, I originally wanted to write a book 2 where Jenlisa would be like together. But as the story progressed, and as I got older, I realized that this is the ending that the story leads up to. It's all about timing and if you missed the window of opportunity, then it's gone. So better take it or leave it, kids ;) If it's not already clear enough, I'm the person most invested in this story that I even cry as I write each chapter! I'm protective of my characters so I made them walk the path where they will grow up as a person who can stand up by themselves and not keep relying on another person for their happiness (that's just sad).

Now looking back after a year later and now that I am stronger as a person, I'm glad it was the ending I did. I'd like to think that my characters are as strong and as happy with themselves as I am now.

I entertained the idea of Jennie x Chaeng for a book 2 since they have less baggage together. And honestly the two characters (not technically the real life Chaenie) would be so cute together! I'd be so down to it but it's been what 3 years? I've grown a lot since then and I have different perspective in life now. I'm done with the story and I don't want to write just to please anyone.

But if you want me to spell out what their future might hold then let me break it down.

Lisa will eventually move on (as people should) and find someone new. My advice to Lisa's out there, please look for happiness within yourself. If something didn't work out, then do your best to move on. Don't idealize the romantic movies where the guy patiently waits for another person because that is a recipe for disaster in real life. People move on and if you are the only one stuck then you will never move forward.

Next, Jennie would either marry Donnie or break up with him and fall in love with Chaeng (I created the ideal girl character) mwahahahha!

So if anyone wants to continue this and write a book 2, please feel free to do so but make Chaenie the endgame <3
