Slowly, I'm gliding across the ice, fighting the urge to push away all these other people on our way. Well, I wouldn't really push anyone since I'm not that mean, but with my stress level steadily soaring high, I might just accidentally take it out on one of these unsuspecting potential victims. Maybe I'd take my frustration out on my blonde friend over here since she seems so intent on just trailing behind me like a lost puppy! We've been skating for a good thirty minutes now yet we still haven't done any meaningful exchange!

Wait, why am I even having these mean thoughts? Am I on my period or something?

Sighing, I turned to steal a glance at Lisa, who was quietly gliding along a few distance behind me, slowing down her normal pace just to match mine. She's better than me when it comes to physical activites like ice skating, and it just makes me want to act more obstinate. I wanted to skate at full speed just to see if she would at least come chasing after me, or if she's finally going to open her goddamn mouth to say something meaningful---not just these insufferable small talks. I want us to talk about the time when we both fell face first on the ice one time, then laughing as we rolled across the ice just to get ourselves upright; or even about the time I crashed straight into a sled when I caught a glimpse of my then-crush, Donny. God, how my evil friend kept teasing me about it for months, especially when Donny was nearby. Now I wouldn't even mind reliving that embarrassing moment just to have us--

"JEN STOP!" Lisa frantically called out, making me snap my head up ahead.

Seeing an abandoned sled right in front of me, a flash of deja vu hit me all over again---literally

Then everything blacked out.

Groggily, I blinked my eyes open, only to shut it close again when I was met with a blinding artificial light. "Am I dead?" I blurted out.

"No silly, " someone chuckled beside me, gripping my hand softly, "we're in a nearby clinic. You've hit your head pretty bad and the nurse told me that you had a concussion." I realized that the girl talking to me is Lis, making me feel relaxed at her soft touch. "How's your head?" She asked, concerned.
