With Dronin's guidance, Fireball located the key from around the wizard's neck. Quickly he opened the door and helped Dronin out as best he could. Pausing for a brief second, Fireball scooped up the limp wizard's body and deposited him inside the cage before locking the door again. Fireball returned to assist Dronin, and the two moved away from the cage very slowly. Fireball hoped the other dragons would soon arrive to help carry Dronin. He was a large dragon and in no shape to move anywhere quickly. Worried the other wizards might return at any moment, Fireball pushed forward hoping with each step that Drake and the others would soon appear.

Behind the large stand of palm trees, the two were shielded somewhat, and they moved as quickly as they could to put distance between themselves and the wizards' cage. Fireball could only hope that this shielded them well enough that they could get away. Dronin was happy to be free, but as e simply could not move quickly. His injuries were extensive. A little relief washed over Fireball's face as he reached a rocky section of this wide open area. They were moving slightly downwards at this point, further shielding them from the wizards that he expected to arrive at any moment. Fireball cringed as he watched Dronin wedge one of his feet between two rocks, causing him to trip and fall. The little dragon was not able to get out of the way fast enough. Dronin tumbled down and rolled right over Fireball. The two continued to bounce and roll down the hill, finally coming to rest at the bottom. Fireball was wedged up against two large boulders, but managed to free himself. He moved over beside Dronin, but the two just laid there a few minutes, a little disoriented from the tumble.

Startled, Fireball looked up to several pairs of eyes hovering over him, just staring. Fortunately his initial shock turned quickly to comfort and relief. The eyes belonged to his friends. Fausto yanked Fireball up and Drake helped Dronin to his feet, with Endrik's assistance. Kaida gasped as she looked around them. The two dragons had rolled down the hill, but they didn't run into rocks as they first thought. To everyone's horror, they were on top of skulls and bones, likely from many other dragons.
