The dragons attempted to attack Fireball, flying at him, blasting their fire, but the little dragon was too fast. He quickly manoeuvred himself behind the dragons. Just before he unleashed a blast of fire the stone giant swatted one of the dragons out of the air, sending it hard into two large pillars. They shook but did not budge. The dragon laid lifeless on the floor.

Fireball, having narrowly missing the giants' hand, repositioned himself behind the last dragon. The giant wasn't trying to hit the little dragon, but he was in the path as the giant lashed out at the enemy dragons. Fireball blasted a flame at the dragon, which singed his backside. This only enraged the dragon. He turned toward the little dragon and grinned just before he shot a flame back at him. Fireball flew straight into the flame and out the other side. He flew directly at the dragon. Another flame hit him, but he stayed his path. Almost upon the enemy dragon Fireball blasted out the biggest flame he could muster. The flame was so intense, everyone in the room was forced back as they felt the heat. The grin on the dragon disappeared as he attempted to retreat, but it was in vain. Before he could move the fire was on him.

'Poof!' The dragon and the furniture around him were gone. Fireball looked down at the light show below him that had resumed. Alexander and Amos were trading spells and blocking them. Amos, with the aid of one remaining wizard, battled 4 enemy wizards. Fireball wished he could help, but he knew he could not risk blasting a flame at the evil wizards, for fear he might injure his friends.

The little dragon watched as Amos twirled his wand in one hand and flicked his other hand. His enemy were talented, but it wasn't hard to tell Amos was far more capable. His wand hand created a little twister that two of the wizards were swallowed up in. At the same time he used his other hand to wave off spells cast at him. Fireball was even more astounded when Amos actually caught a spellin his hand as he was turning around and sent the deadly spell tracking right back at the remaining wizard who had cast it.

Having taken care of the other evil wizards, Amos went to assist the prince, but he was blocked by a shield. He tried to remove the invisible barrier, but he could not. He could only watch as the prince and Marcello battled on the other side. Fireball swooped down and rested on Amos's shoulder as the two stared intently at the battle.

Alexander did not fire as many spells. He mostly blocked spells cast at him from Marcello, with his wand, using his free hand to keep the dozen trunks near him, spinning throughout the air. He did not seem fazed by his enemies relentless attack.

A frustrated Marcello finally had enough. He removed the barrier that kept Amos and Fireball out. Rapidly he fired several spells at Amos. Fireball blocked one but it did knock him over. The second spell Amos blocked, but its intensity was so strong that he was not prepared for the third strike. Amos was hit and propelled backwards 30 feet, stopping hard against the side of the stone fireplace at the other end of the room.

As Amos laid on the floor, Fireball gazed on. He felt as though everything were happening in slow motion, as so many things took place so fast. Marcello used his wand to take control of the stone giant and spun it in mid air several times, then hurled him directly at Amos.
