Once Upon A Dolan

Ethan and Grayson Dolan had been two pretty normal kids- messing around, having fun, and hanging with their two best friends, Mia and Rachel. Their lives are turned upside down, when all of a sudden, the Dolan family relocate and move to New Jersey and are thrown into a whirl of fame as they become renowned viners across the USA. After a few years of being away, the boys return to their hometown, to reunite with their friends and family once again. But when it comes to Mia Douglas and Rachel Rhodes, after having no contact for three years, some things aren't exactly as they'd all expected..

Introduction

Four Years Ago

"Hey! Come back here and let me shoot you!!" An 11 year old Ethan Dolan screeched, clutching a watergun in his hands, and running after Mia Douglas, his best friend.

"Never!! You can't catch me, I'm a lightning bolt!!" Mia shouted in return, running across the garden, armed with only a deflating water balloon.

"Yeah!! You stupid boys will never beat us!!" Rachel Rhodes, their other best friend sneered, laughing along with Mia as they ran as fast as their legs would take them.

"Oh, but not so fast!!" Grayson, Ethan's twin brother, and the girls' other best friend suddenly appeared in front of the two, now stationary, girls.

Ethan closed in on them and together, Grayson and Ethan pelted the girls with their water guns, but with nothing but glee apparent on any of the kids' faces.

"AND THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL TWIN POWER!!" Shouted Grayson, high-fiving his brother before they both collapsed into fits of laughter, along with the two girls, who were lying, drenched, on the grass.

"This is so awesome, I hope the summer never ends!!" Ethan murmured, as all four of them lay out on the grass.

"Me too, Eth, but school isn't that far off now.." Mia mumbled back.

"Oh God, don't even remind me about school, ugh!!" Rachel muttered.

"Well I'm sure it'll be fine- as long as we're all in the same classes, we can mess around as much as we want!!" Grayson giggled, before getting up and dancing like a maniac, which was shortly followed by the other three jumping up and joining in.

"Ethan, Grayson, come here, your father and I have something very important to tell you about!!" Lisa, the twins' mother shouted out to them, breaking up the mini dance party that they'd began.

The boys ran inside to greet their parents and Cameron, their big sister.

"Stay there and dry out, we'll be back in, like, three seconds!!" Grayson assured the girls, running inside, and right into the back of Ethan, which just set the girls into a fit of laughter.

"Right, kids," Lisa began. "Your father and I have some very big news for you." She said, out of hearing range of the two girls in the garden.

"We're moving to New Jersey." She finished.

"WHAT!?"
"NOO!!"
"WHY!?" Were the three siblings' responses, as they stood there in utter shock.

"We're moving to New Jersey, your father's job has been relocated there. It'll be fine- I'm sure you'll make new friends. We're due move before the end of the summer, so we only have a few weeks to pack. We're going to be very busy so I doubt you'll see much of your friends before we leave, so its best to say your goodbyes as soon as possible." Lisa said. She knew how hard it would be- for the boys especially and she didn't want to see them upset.

"It'll be fun! The girls will understand. You'll make new friends too.." She tried to comfort the shocked and upset faces that she was stood in front of.

Ethan stormed off, towards the direction of outside and Grayson followed.

"...So seahorse dudes give birth instead of the women..?" The boys heard Rachel ask Mia.

"Oh my gosh what have you two been talking about!?" Grayson asked with a weak smile on his face.

Rachel immediately sensed that there was something that wasn't quite right with Grayson.

"Whats wrong?" Rachel asked with concern in her eyes.

Grayson looked over to where Ethan was quietly chatting to Mia.

"C'mere.." He said, taking her hand and walking over to Mia and Ethan.

He made some eye signals with Ethan and they both nodded.

"We have something to tell you.."

"We're moving away.."

"To New Jersey.."

"Please tell me you're joking.." Mia said, with her eyes squeezed tightly shut.

"I wish.." Ethan sighed.

"This is it, this is the last time we're gonna see you guys before we go.."

"What!? That's not even kinda fair!!" Rachel cried.

"We can always keep in touch.. You know, emails and stuff.." Ethan tried to comfort them.

Mia smiled. "We're meant to be the ones comforting you! Not the other way round!" She giggled, and before they knew it, they were all in fits of laughter.

It was the end of the evening and the four friends were stood at the door.

"I'm gonna miss you, you smelly, silly boys!!" Mia cried, hugging them both.

"Me too!! You guys are so dumb!!" She smiled, joining in the hug.

"Well, I can promise you both..we'll be back for you.." Grayson whispered to the girls.

"Don't forget us because we'll always be back for you.."
