Mia's POV

God, that bitch was crazy.

I didn't know how many hours it had been since I'd locked myself in the hotel room- Ethan kept knocking, probably concerned about if I was alright, but I just couldn't bring myself to talk to him.

Suddenly, another knock sounded from my door.

"Hey, Mia? It's Rach and Gray. Please open up.." Rachel called through the door.

Reluctantly, I lugged myself over to the door, opening it to reveal the concerned faces of my friends.

"You've been crying." It wasn't a question.

"N-no.." I weakly stuttered.

"Mia. What did he do to you?" Grayson asked sternly.

"What? Oh, Ethan? Nothing. It's the psychobitch who's the problem." I groaned.

"What?" Rachel asked.

"Caitlin. The hoe. Queen bitch. Whatever you wanna call her. Yeah she's not only a complete and utter moron, but she's also some sort of sociopath in case you hadn't noticed." I said with a sarcastic smile.

"Woah, scary Mia is out tonight!" Grayson tried to joke.

I just glared at him.

"Okay then.." He said, averting his eyes from my angry gaze.

"Mia please, tell us what happened.." Rachel pleaded.

"Fine. Crazy bitch dug her sharp ass claws into me, dragged me along and told me to stay away from Ethan or she'll ruin my life." I smiled ironically again.

"Mia. Are you sure it's not just a grudge you've been holding since we were kids? I know you don't like her but she doesn't seem like the kinda girl to do something like that." Rachel reasoned.

Now it was time to glare at Rachel.

"Fine. Don't believe me then."

"Wait Rach, think about it, we both know Mia and we both know she wouldn't lie about something like that.." Grayson whispered not-so-subtly to Rachel.

Realisation dawned on her face.

"We have to tell Ethan!" Rachel suddenly exclaimed.

"Nope. He wouldn't believe you. He thinks that girl is a goddess or something. And she threatened to give out my address and expose your relationship to the fangirls and I'm not letting that happen." I said stubbornly.

"Mia.." Rachel sighed, clearly unsure of what to do.

"It's fine. I'll back off of Ethan. We keep finding all these obstacles and I'm starting to think it just wasn't meant to be." I said sadly.

"No Mia! Would you listen to yourself! You're not the Mia I fake dated. The Mia I fake dated would never have gone down without a fight!" Grayson shouted encouragingly.

"Gray, I'm just tired of this, it keeps going round in circles and I've had enough. Ethan means a hell of a lot to me and it's enough to just see him happy. You just have to promise me you won't tell him about Caitlin." I sighed loudly.

I guess that was it.

The great saga of Ethan and Mia was going to be over.

I climbed back into my bed, cuddling into my sheets, and tying a messy bun on my head, trying not to cry as Grayson and Rachel left.

As much as I wanted to be able to just go up to Ethan and tell him it was over, I just wouldn't be able to.

He had my heart.
