Chapter 11

Mia's POV

I zipped up my camera, smiling at the last picture I took of home, as I closed my bag and headed downstairs.

"Bye, mum! I love you and I'll miss you!!" I said, kissing her on the cheek.

"Have fun and be safe! And text me every day!" She added, as I heard the horn honk from outside, the others were waiting in a taxi to the airport.

"Miaaaaaaaa!!" Sydney shrieked with excitement as I got into the cab.

"Hey girl! Are you guys ready!?" I asked, buzzing with excitement.

"Yeah! I don't know if I could be any more excited!!!!" Jacob added, sitting next to Skye.

"Where's Rach?" I asked.

"Late, as usual, and the twins and Ry are waiting for us to pick them up from their house." Skye explained.

I was so excited. My heart was rapidly beating as I imagined the thousands of possibilities and opportunities that our trip could hold, and the anticipation was giving me an electric buzz.

"I'M HERE!!" Shouted an out of breath, stumbling Rachel.

I giggled.

"Well get your ass in here!" Sydney shouted. "We gotta go!!"

Flustered, Rachel seated herself and we picked up the boys and we were on our way to the airport.

The atmosphere was awesome, everyone was buzzing with excitement, and just the idea of all being together for the summer. Parentless and siblingless, we were basically free!

We arrived at the airport, managing to get through security and the check-in pretty fast, and decided to sit down to have a bite to eat before our flight.

"LA here we come!!" Grayson shouted as we sat down, turning the heads of some nearby old people, looking quite disapprovingly at us.

And just like that, within seconds, there were a bunch of squealing girls surrounding both Ethan and Grayson.

I sighed, if the whole trip was going to be like this, it was probably going to suck.

We managed to usher away the girls as we rushed manically to our gate, incredibly late.

The plane was preparing for departure as we arrived at the gate, hot, flustered and out of breath, but luckily, we got there in time to boar the plane and our flight took off into the sunset.

In all the rush and panic, I didn't realise who I'd sat next to.

And you could probably guess who it was..

Yup. Ethan freaking Dolan.

Ethan's POV

An hour into the flight and Mia was already fast asleep.

She looked so beautiful, so peaceful.

This is the Mia that I wish I could see more often.

I couldn't help but stare at her, though there were the beautiful distant city lights that I could see through the window, she overpowered that, and I couldn't manage to take my eyes off of her.

A flight attendant passed by, offering a blanket, so I took it, and covered Mia with it, feeling nothin but warmth in my heart when I looked at her.

Grayson's POV

We landed in LAX airport, as the sun shone brightly through the window of the plane.

"Oh my goshhhhh!!" Sydney practically sang, as we left the plane.

"Welcome to Los Angeles, California!" Said a peppy airport attendant, as we walked through the airport.

Luckily, because we were backpacking, we didn't have to pick up much luggage and we were out of the airport within half an hour, to be greeted with the warm LA breeze and the gorgeous city lights as the sun began to set.

"It's beautiful.." Rachel whispered, as she came to stand next to me.

"It's nothing compared to my view.." I whispered back, looking down at her.

"COME ON LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTEEED!!" Jacob, Dylan and the girls shouted, breaking the moment that we were having.

"Yes! Let's do thisss!" Rachel shouted, joining them.

I let out a huge sigh, and followed the rest of the guys.

I had to admit, this was gonna be awesome.

Mia's POV

We managed to settle in our, albeit, slightly dingy motel, and were practically jumping up and down with excitement as we left to get a feel of California and the city we were in.

I'd already gotten my camera out, ready to take some awesome shots of the sunset and city lights.

"Come on, Mia!!" Sydney grabbed my hand and we were soon on our way to Hollywood.

"OH MY GOD WE'RE IN HOLLYWOOD!! I HOPE WE MEET THE JONAS BROTHERS!!" Grayson shouted as we casually explored the area, making us all collapse into fits of laughter.

"Look!" Rachel said, excitedly, pointing to the Hollywood sign.

I quickly took a few snaps of it, hoping they'd turn out alright, I didn't really want to go into to much intensive photography quite so soon after just arriving in the city.

I had to admit, it was breathtaking, the beauty of the city in itself was undeniable, and in fact, it made me feel so alive inside.

I was feeling pretty artistic, and got a bunch of good shots of the skyline before we settled down in a restaurant to eat.

"I can feel it." Skye said. "This is going to be such an amazing trip!" She giggled, buzzing with excitement, all the adrenaline of being in a completely new city.

"I know.." I whispered to her. "I think this trip is going to change us all..for the better.." I said rather intensely, before giggling once again.

Being in a new city made me feel so full of adrenaline, excitement, and passion for exploration, new things, art.

My emotions were on a high, and they were centred around one boy in particular.

"Ethan!?" A blonde girl, dressed from head to toe in designer clothing squealed, running up to him and interrupting my thought.

I turned away for a second, confused, and when I turned back, she was hugging him.

Who was this chick?

"Oh hello, I'm Arielle.." She said slowly, to the rest of us, as if we were young children as she pulled herself away from Ethan.

We exchanged questioning looks around the table, as Ethan and this Arielle girl left us to go and chat in the corner.

We all turned questioningly to Grayson.

"Well, I don't know why y'all are looking at me, I have no idea who the heck that chick is. Your guess is as good as mine.." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

Hmmm..

I didn't know what to think of this girl.

But she seemed like a first class, condescending bitch.

And I didn't like her one bit.
