Chapter 7

Mia's POV

"SCHOOL'S OUT BITCHEEEEESSS!!" I shouted as loud as I could, just as the final bell for the last day of school rang.

"YAAAS FINALLY IT'S ABOUT TIME!!" Grayson shouted back at me, joined by Rachel.

"Dude. You've been here for like, two weeks." She said, mocking seriousness.

"WHATEVER!! ITS SUMMERR!!" Ethan cried, throwing his arm around both mine and Rachel's shoulders.

"This is gonna be the best summer ever!!" Skye shouted over all the screaming kids as we met just outside the school gates.

"THAT FUFU LAME SHIT I AIN'T WITH IT-" Dylan and Jacob shouted as they approached us, cut of by Sydney who was literally bouncing up and down, talking so incredibly fast that no one could understand a word she was saying.

"Woah. Slow down, Syd." Skye said slowly to her, as if talking to a child.

She didn't slow down at all, clearly buzzing from the excitement of freedom for the summer.

"Well, I'd better get her home!" Skye said, dragging Sydney along, waving goodbye to us.

"Yeah, we should probably head home too, see y'all at the pool party tomorrow!!" Jacob smiled, running out of the school gates, Dylan trailing behind him.

The sight had made me laugh somewhat hysterically for the best part of twenty minutes.

Mature, I know.

"Well, I guess it's just the four of us.." Grayson commented as we walked down the street together.

"What shall we doooooo?" Rachel asked. Everyone was pretty hyper from the exhilaration of our last day in school so we may or may not have been acting like three year olds.

"LET'S GO TO THE PARK!!" I shouted, with a massive grin stretching across my face.

"Wait, no," I corrected myself. "Too far. Walking is ew!!" I complained, of course, in the fashion of a three year old.

"Little baby Mia does have a point!" Grayson laughed.

"True, may as well just go over to our place and let's watch a movie or something!" Ethan suggested, which we all agreed to, and in no time, we were at the Dolan household, laying on the couch, having been joined by Ryan.

"What shall we watchh?" Ethan asked lazily.

"HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL!!" I suggested, excited and giggling.

"YES YES YES!!" Rachel screeched, giving the boys no choice but to let us watch the Zac Efron classic.

Ethan's POV

We were like, a good twenty minutes in to High School Musical and I was already bored.

Ryan had fallen asleep which forced me into spasms of laughter.

What, it was hilarious, he was about to fall off.

I would have pushed him, but one of the girls probably would have told me off.

I looked over to Grayson, who was getting surprisingly into the film, which made me laugh all the more.

"SHHH!!" Grayson shushed me, not even caring that that made me laugh even more.

I looked over to Mia, who was right next to me. We were close, I could hear her breathing but we weren't touching, much to my dismay.

I watched her for a couple of minutes, finding it absolutely adorable as she mouthed all the words to the entire film.

I found myself drifting off into thought, just looking at Mia.

I couldn't believe what I did to her back then, I was so stupid. It would take my all to gain her trust back, but she was slowly opening up to me, so I knew she would. I hoped.

Rachel's POV

"THAT WAS THE BEST FILM EVER!!" Grayson shouted, applauding as the end credits rolled.

Mia and I were in stitches of laughter at this, just due to his whole seriousness about it, and of course, to make the moment even funnier, our laughter caused Ryan to wake up, banging his head before falling onto the floor an collapsing into a heap of laughter.

Let's just say that the five of us stayed there, laughing, for at least forty five minutes.

Someone probably thought we were high.
