Chapter 23

Skye's POV

Seeing twins punch each other is incredibly bizarre.

And uncomfortable to watch.

And seeing two best friends glare at each other because their twin boyfriends just had a massive fight sounds like the plot of a terrible fanfiction.

But it was happening.

"Are you guys gonna-"

"No." They cut me off in unison.

"Not even-"

"No."

"Argh!" I let out an exasperated sigh.

"Well you know what? You two need to sort this out! You're best friends! So why on earth haven't I seen you talking or even just hanging out since we got to London? And now this!!" Sydney finally shouted at them.

They both had sheepish looks on their faces.

"I..uh..IlikeGraysonbutMia'sdatinghimandIfeellikeshestabbedmeintheback.." Rachel said, almost too fast for me to understand.

Almost.

"Rachel, you're dating Ethan!" Mia replied, slightly angry.

"Uh..yeah?" She replied.

Mia just sat there looking confused.

"Okay hold up. Rach, you like Grayson. Now either you're very confused and ended up dating the wrong twin, or there's another reason for it." I tried to understand the situation.

"I HAVE A CONFESSION!" Mia suddenly stood up and shouted.

"Yes?" We looked at her expectantly.

"GRAYSONANDIAREN'TREALLYDATING. I like Ethan." She rushed the first part, but the last part she said entirely normally, but from the fire in her eyes, I could tell that it was sincere, and pained her slightly.

"Wait what?" Rachel, shocked, spoke up.

"Uhh.." Mia replied, unsure of what to say.

"OKAY I'M BURSTING CAN I PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Sydney suddenly shouted.

We all looked to her, curious.

"Mia and Grayson are fake dating to make the other two jealous and Ethan and Rachel are dating to get their attention too!!" She squealed, clapping her hands together.

Mia and Rachel looked to eachother, with a questioning expression mirrored on their faces, before both returning the other with a wide-eyed nod.

"Oh my god.." They both whispered in shock and understanding.

Grayson's POV

"So let me get this straight." I tried for the fourth time.

"You're not actually dating Rachel?" I asked Ethan, who nodded slowly.

"You like Mia?" I asked.

"Yes, Grayson. You know I like Mia!! Jesus Christ! You know I've always liked Mia!! Seriously!! Like even when we were stupid eight year olds, you'd tease me about her!!" He informed me, almost frustrated.

"But she--she seemed totally like 100% convinced that you didn't even like her in the slightest.." I mumbled.

Ethan sighed, running his hand through his hair, frustrated.

"I know.." He whispered, a pained expression on his face.

I suddenly remembered Mia's story of what had happened all those years ago between them.
