Ana's POV:

Yesterday, I left. I couldn't stand my father abusing me anymore, so I was gone.

******FLASHBACK******

"He screamed at me to leave. I'm packing now. I'm moving to Melbourne, please come with me? I need you" I whisper-yelled frantically in the phone as I threw stuff into my case.

"Of course I'll come. You know the shit I'm going through at home, and any chance I get to leave I'm coming. Did he hurt you, Hun?" Becky asked from the other end of the phone.

"He tried to. He was too drunk, so I just dodged around him and ran up here." I said.

"I'm packing now, I'll be around in twenty minutes. Be ready."

"You're a life saver, I love you! Always and forever?" I asked.

"Always and forever." Becky confirmed.

It was official. We were leaving

I packed skinnies, band tees, singlets, cardigans and a shit ton of bracelets. It sounds silly but I also packed my posters and my favourite cuddly toy my dead mum bought for me. I had necessary toiletries and in an empty blusher pot I packed my blades. In the top of the case I packed my phone charger and laptop charger

In my hand luggage I had my favourite books, my phone (white iPhone 5S), my earphones, my laptop gum, wallet and socks.

From outside, I heard an impatient series of beeps. Looks like Becky turned up! (A/N for the purpose of the story, it is legal to drive at sixteen. They both have licenses but only Becky has a car).

I stuck my shades on and walked out the front door. Luckily, my father was out drinking somewhere. Turning back to look at the house, I shivered as all the bad memories came rushing back.

"Let's hit the road, the airport is a three hour drive away." Becky interrupted my thoughts, which I was glad of. I just grinned and got in the car.

Three hours (and a lot of bad singing) later, Becky pulled in to the airport. I got out the car, slung my bag over my shoulder and grabbed my case from the trunk. Becky did the same.

I took a deep breath, and walked in. We strolled over to the check in area, where we got our shit sorted out and put our cases on the thing that puts them in the plane. We walked through to the main department, and bought a couple of bottles of water and a magazine.

We boarded the plane without regret. As we were seated and about to take off, I turned to Becky.

"Always and forever?"

"Always and forever."
