Ryan/Riley

My hands shook as I signed the papers. Her father didn't even bothered to call back when hospital informed him about Adrianna's condition. Luckily my father was available and he made sure every best neurologist and neurosurgeon was on his beck and call.

So here I am now signing the deed for the operation. While doctors are prepping her. I haven't gone home. I haven't left her side. It is like she is occupied every living moment of my life. I wanted to live and if she died die with her.

"I love you Teddy" I kissed her head softly. I am here from two weeks and she is not responding to medicines. So the doctors told me it would be better to go for the surgery and try to reduce the damage in the brain. It was a very difficult operation. I saw them save her head. Her long beautiful tresses fell on the floor.

I was there when they showed me the procedure talked to me about it briefly. I wanted to see her walking and talking again. Zeke was busy in finding more about the codes as he knew some of her hiding places.

I saw her pale and lifeless self behind the door. The doctors arrived to check her up before the surgery, "Can I see her?" I asked him. He put his hands over my shoulder. "We will take thirty minutes for the prep"

After he left I walked inside the ICU. She is so pale. Almost if she does not have a pulse or a heartbeat. Only thing signaling that She is well and alive is that constant beeping. I held her hand and kissed it softly. "Teddy I am so sorry this is all my fault. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have came back into your life . I shouldn't have made you remember all those things. I wish I was here in your place. I miss you everyday every night. I miss those small talks baby Angel. "

I kissed her forehead before sitting back again. "There is lots of thing I want to say right now. I don't know where to begain or if it will make any sense to you" I chuckled dryly. "I wish you had seen the real me Teddy. I wish I didn't have to hide it from you. I wish it was all the same before it all happened."

I pulled a stray tear off my eyes. "Look at me I am crying. You are the only one who had seen the real me the Riley within the cold hearted Ryan Winters. You know before I met you I had believed over my father's words that no one can love me. But then It happened my miracle came to life.

You were that Miracle. You are my Miracle. And by some twisted play of fate you loved me. As much as I love you. I am not good for you because I lied about my identity. I lied about many things. But I had too. It was because I wanted to keep you safe."

I traced the circles in back of her palm. "I know if you remember the past incidents you will want to kill me. And trust me baby I will let you kill me because maybe then I will find peace. And what is more peaceful then to die into the arms of one you love"

I f she was awake now she would have laughed out loud and called me sappy. "Please come back to me I am going to do anything for you anything you want me to do. Just please come back to me baby because this bad boy is incomplete without his good girl."

"Mr. Winters it is time" The doctor informed me. I nodded and placed one last kiss on her forehead. I hate to let her go like this but she needs the operation and I need to investigate something of my own. I am sensing a much bigger play here. And I hate being a pawn.

Nick held my shoulder in assuring way. I saw them wheel her away and inside the operation theatre. I saw the light turn on. And I prayed to god that she came out un harmed. "She is a fighter she will fight and she will come back to us" Nick said in a wobbly voice.

I nodded and walked out of the hospital leaving them alone. I wanted to drown myself in alcohol for some reason. It is paining me so much to see her this way. I walked on the street trying to find my way to the pub when I come across a church.

I never been the type to attained Sunday school. I never really believed in god. But today for some reason I wanted to believe that god exists and that he really hear us pray. That he really helps the one in need.

My feet moved towards the church gates unknowingly. I didn't realized until I felt the doors within my grasp. Without thinking much I walked inside and sat down in one of the benches.

The pastor was talking about the god and his miracles and I on the other hand was waiting for his words to be proven right. I was looking at the pastor and praying for her. I never thought I will but now I know I can do anything to make her happy even if the cost of it will be my life. My phone vibrated and I looked at the text from Zeke.

"I think I know where I can find the codes"

I walked out of the church and into the night.
