first date

maya penelope hunter hart was never nervous. never in her life. she was never the kid who got nervous or scared on the first day of school, she didn't get nervous presenting in front of the class, and she never even got nervous when people watched her paint. but tonight was different. she was actually nervous for a date. but this date wasn't with just any guy, no no no. it was with lucas huckleberry friar. she had liked him for such a long time, and she never knew he felt the same way until recently. maya had tried so hard to eliminate her feelings for the cowboy, but nothing worked. she tried to go out with other guys, she even tried liking girls for awhile. but that clearly did not work. she tried to forget about his sea foam eyes that had little golden flakes around the irises. maya tried to forget about his soft dirty blonde hair, his tanned skin that burned her whenever he touched her. she tried to forget about lucas's strong arms that hugged her whenever she was feeling down, and his amazing cologne that she inhaled whenever he was near. maya could literally not forget about him in any way. she felt terrible when she told riley that she couldn't get the huckleberry out of her head. maya cried and cried but riley just smiled. riley had always known that lucas and maya liked each other, she was just waiting for them to figure it out.

lucas rarely ever got nervous. he usually only got nervous when he was about to hit in a baseball game or when he was kicking a field goal on the football field. but tonight was different. tonight he was going on a date with maya penelope hunter hart. the girl he had liked for so many years. he tried to get the images of her long blonde locks out of his head. or her ocean blue eyes that swam with emotions whenever he looked into them. lucas tried to get her petite yet curvy figure out of his mind. the way that her tiny body fit perfectly into his like two perfect puzzle pieces. her strawberry and peach scent that seemed to linger wherever she went. lucas couldn't help to think of maya on top of him. or her clothes on his floor and her bare body sleeping in his bed. he tried so hard to lose his feelings for maya. he tried to date other girls, but no one could ever compare to his maya. lucas felt terrible when he had to tell riley that he didn't feel that way about her. riley just squealed and screamed "lucaya!" lucas had no clue what that meant but he was so happy that he could like maya freely. he was so relieved once she said yes to going out with him. he was finally getting his date with his blonde beauty.

lucas was dressed in a dark blue button down with khaki pants and vans.he wore a dress coat over it and he thought he looked pretty nice.  he sprayed himself with maya's favorite cologne and brushed his teeth before heading over to her house.

maya was standing in front of the mirror straightening out her outfit. she was wearing skinny light wash ripped jeans and a black silky tank top that exposed her creamy shoulders. she had a little makeup on her usual pale face and her hair was half up half down in her usual curls. she sprayed herself with lucas's favorite perfume and put her favorite pair of black heels on. they were strappy and showed off her toes that were painted black as well. if you couldn't tell, maya really loved black. it was the color that suited her pale skin the best. she was quite nervous and she only started to freak out more when she heard a knock at the door.

maya walked over to the door wiping her sweaty palms on her pants. on the other side of the door, lucas stood there breathing heavily and wiping his sweaty palms on his pants. when he saw that maya opened the door his jaw dropped to the floor. she looked so beautiful. her hair was beautiful and her body looked amazing in that outfit.

"hi huckleberry." maya smiled.

"pancakes, you look amazing." he whispers. maya's cheeks become a deep red as she smiles.

"you don't look so bad yourself. thank you." she says.

"ready to go?" he asks and maya nods. they both leave her apartment building and start walking down the streets of new york.
