"maya penelope hart! get your lazy ass up! we're going out!" lucas yells walking through their apartment door.

"but huckleberry i'm tired!" maya whines laying down on their couch.

"maya please, i wanna take you out. it'll be fun, we can go to dinner and then come home and cuddle till we fall asleep." he says sitting down beside the couch and begging his girlfriend with a pout.

"god why do you have to be so cute?" she asks pecking his lips quickly. he smiles and holds her face while he kisses her backs harder.

"i love you penelope." he says softly.

"i love you too ranger rick." she says smiling. "alright i'll go get ready baby."

"i'll go get ready too babygirl." he grins as they both get up and get ready in two separate rooms.

after about an hour and a half, both of them are ready.

"okay lucas, you can do this. it's just maya, don't freak out." lucas says to himself in the mirror fiddling with the velvet box in his pocket. he wipes his hands on the pants of his suit. lucas walks out of the bathroom to the bedroom that they share and sees maya applying the final touch of her lipgloss. maya has on a red sequin dress with a slit in the side. it has an open back with cream colored fabric covering her backside and accenting her curves. she's wearing nude high heels that show off her silver painted toes. there's gold smokey eyeshadow covered across her lids making her blue eyes sparkle. the highlighter on her cheeks make her literally glow. her blonde waves flow messily but beautifully down her back.

lucas swallows the lump in his throats and his mouth becomes dry.

"huckleberry? you good?" maya asks snapping him out of his daze.

"i'm sorry baby, you just look amazing." he says clearing his throat and walking closer to her.

"aw thank you babe. so where are we going?" she asks pecking his lips.

"it's a surprise, come along penelope." he says putting his arm out. she giggles and locks her arm with his. they both walk out to his car and he opens the door for her.

"what a gentleman." maya teases giving lucas her classic smirk.

"that's how my momma raised me." he smiles shutting the door.

lucas drives them both to maya's favorite fancy restaurant that's way too expensive which is why they've only been there once.

"huckleberry, what are we doing here? you didn't have to do all of this." she asks in awe.

"i wanted to make everything perfect for the love of my life." he smiles grabbing her hand from across the table.

"how was your day?" she asks.

"it was fine, but i don't wanna talk about that. i wanna talk about us." he says.

"what about us?" she asks taking a sip of her drink.

"do you want a future with me?" he asks and mays's eyes widen.

"of course i do. i love you more than i've ever loved anyone or anything." she says. "i'm just scared."

"scared of what?" he asks.

"i'm scared that you're gonna wanna leave. you'll get tired of me like everyone does and leave me all alone." maya mumbles.

"babygirl, i could never leave you. i love you, you mean the world to me, you are my world." lucas says wiping the tear off her cheek.

"you're my world too." she says looking up at him.

"i love you." he coos.

"i love you too heehaw." she says grinning cheekily.

after they eat dinner, they are sharing a piece of cake and glasses of wine.

"hey what's that in your glass?" lucas asks looking into maya's whine glass.

"i don't know." maya says narrowing her eyes. she reaches inside the cup and picks up the ring. her bright blue eyes become wide as she realizes what the ring is. lucas chuckles and takes it out of his hand, drying it off before getting down on one knee in front of her.

"lucas heehaw friar you better get your ass up right now." she warns.

"maya penelope hart, you are my world. i knew i was gonna grow up to love you from the moment i set eyes on you on that subway all those years ago. your golden blonde locks caught my eyes immediately. when you told me your name was maya i knew it was the name for a princess like you. i couldn't help but go home and think about how maya friar sounded so good together. your blue eyes were like two oceans on your gorgeous pale face. your small and petite body was just so cute in my eyes. your body full of curves and amazement made me fall in love with you even more. i love how you are so caring about everyone and everything. you've made my life so much better and you brighten up the room with your beautiful smile. i love you maya and i cannot imagine a life without you. i don't wanna spend the rest of my life without your wonderful soul next to me. i love you so so much. maya penelope hart, will you marry me?" lucas asks. at this point he has tears in his eyes and maya has many tears streaming down her now red cheeks. all she could do was nod.

"yes! yes, huckleberry of course i'll marry you!" maya squeals smiling so wide. lucas slides the ring on her finger and hugs her lifting her off the ground spinning her around a bit. he sets her down and she locks her arms around his neck before connecting her lips with his. he smiles before kissing her back.

"i love you so fucking much." he says once they break apart for air.

"i love you too ranger rick." she smiles biting her lip trying to hide her smile.

"let's go home maya hart." he says holding his hand out.

"soon to be maya friar." she smiles kissing his cheek as they leave the restaurant.

as soon as they get home, they go to their bedroom to the change into their pajamas.

"wanna cuddle now?" he asks as he puts his sweatpants on and lays down on their bed.

"i thought we could do something else." she says straddling his waist.

"like what pancakes? you said you were tired." he says furrowing his eyebrows in a way that makes maya's heart melt.

"well that was before i was proposed to. damn look how good this ring looks on my finger!" she squeals showing off her left hand. lucas laughs and takes her soft tiny hand in his and brings it up to his lips kissing it.

"what do you wanna do silly girl?" he asks chuckling.

"oh i think you know what i wanna do. i think my baby deserves a reward for putting together such a good proposal." she smiles before taking her tank top off. lucas's eyes widen and he smiles before connecting his lips with his soon to be wife.

man was lucas happy he put together a good proposal.
