lucaya day four!

the group decided to take a fun little trip to the mount sun lodge ski resort over winter break. none of them were really excited for this little trip especially not maya. lucas wasn't too pumped about this trip either. that ski resort brought back terrible memories for the two of them. that was where they both lost the loves of their lives.

maya was packing her bag, slowly, very slowly. riley opened her maya's bedroom door and skipped all the way in.

"peaches! you need to hurry up! we're leaving soon." riley said with a smile.

"do i have to go?" maya groans.

"uh yes! it's a group trip, we aren't the clique six if it's just the five of us. come on! it's gonna be so much fun!" she says clapping.

"yeah it's gonna be super fun for you." she says continuing to pack sweatpants in her bag.

"why wouldn't it be fun for you?" riley asks.

"maybe because the guy i love confessed his love for my best friend there." maya says to herself. "no reason riles." she says smiling at her best friend before zipping up her bag.

"okay well lucas and farkle are waiting downstairs. i'm gonna go with lucas and you're gonna go with farkle." riley says.

"what about izzy and zay?" maya asks.

"they're gonna take zay's car." riley says. maya nods and grabs her bag before heading downstairs. she smiles slightly at lucas and then puts her bag in farkle's car.

"penelope, wanna ride with me?" lucas asks.

"no thanks heehaw, i'm gonna go with farkle." she says putting her hands in her back pockets.

"so who's going with me?" he asks looking around.

"i am lukey!" riley squeals kissing his cheek. maya looks down at her shoes and blinks away her tears before getting in the passenger seat of farkle's car. lucas looks up to say something to maya before realizing that she's already in the car. he sighs to himself and gets into his car.

as they drive to the ski lodge, farkle notices how upset maya looks.

"you okay may?" farkle asks. maya sniffles and wipes her eyes.

"peachy." maya says resting her head against the window.

"what's wrong? why're you crying?" he asks.

"i don't wanna go on this trip. i hate that place." she says crossing her arms.

"oh because of lucas?" he asks.

"no because i hate skiing, yes because of lucas!" she says rolling her eyes.

"why don't you just tell him how you feel? i'm sure he feels the same way." farkle says.

"i highly doubt that. he confessed his love for my best friend. he doesn't feel the same way about me." she says.

"you never know unless you talk to him." he says. maya just sighs and closes her eyes once more.

when they get to the ski lodge, all six of them check in. the girls decide to share a room as well as the guys.

"maya come on! let's go skiing!" riley says.

"i don't want to. i wanna stay here where it's nice and warm." maya says continuing to draw in her sketchbook.

"ugh fine. i'll be outside with zay, farkle, and izzy." riley says.

"what about lucas?" she asks.

"he doesn't feel up to it. we'll be back soon." riley says before leaving the room. maya sighs and continues to draw.
