I looked at my hand with a little wonder as my fingers pressed the open button of the elevator. It was as if my hand had its own will.

This specific moment made me feel as if I'd been repeating it countless times....and I'd only noticed it now.

The elevator door was about to close as I'd pressed the button, so it jerked to a stop and began to open again.
People began to go in, but I didn't, noticing a girl tying her hair with a yellow hair band.

If she knew there were people wanting to come inside the lift, why didn't she press the button to open the doors for them? I thought.

I then came to the conclusion that it was simply because she'd been tying her hair.

As I stepped back from the door, the last thing that caught my eye was her yellow hair band...

Peoples backgrounds are able to explain a lot about a person compared to how you see them when you don't know them.

I am aware of only a few peoples backgrounds, but I can only just scratch the surface of other peoples stories by guessing, but I can't fully understand them.

I used to think that if I tried to guess a persons past accurately enough and evaluate them without talking to them first, I'd be able to have a conversation with them...

But now I wonder...can people guess my story easily enough or does it take them many hours of trial and error?

The girl with the yellow hair band caught my eyes with hers as the doors started to close fully.

Since this happened often with her, I avoided her gaze and averted my eyes, entertaining my vision with the floor.

As the elevator doors closed fully, I caught my REFLECTION in them, realizing that I couldn't guess my own backstory fully from first glance either.

This is all I'll be doing for today!
