I didn't want to be involved in this person's life...not again. I did not want to dwell in their loneliness and aid it.

I can't be meaningful to anyone.
I can't be with someone until the end of the road.
I can't protect them.
I don't want to hurt them
And I don't want to hurt myself either...

I slowly began to move away, but instead my feet took me closer to the boy.
