My Life Changed When I Met Him

Chapter 2-School Life

We arrived at Half Moon Bay high school. It's an upper and lower level, my sister and I are seniors our prom and graduation is coming up so that's all anyone can talk about. I saw my sisters friends walk up in their navy blue and white cheer uniforms, we got out of the car,

"Carla! Tiffany! Taylor! I've missed you" my sister squealed

she ran over and hugged them I noticed my sister is wearing her uniform as well

"Rachel did you hear that the coach cut out Sam?" Carla asked

"She cut out her own daughter?!" my sister asked

"Yeah because she's pregnant" Tiffany said

Just then they all looked at me. I threw my hands up in surrender "don't worry I'm leaving" I said backing away

"So long loser" Taylor laughed

I rolled my eyes.

I walked through the double doors and the smell of expensive colon mixed with cheap perfume slithered up my nose causing me to sneeze. Walking through the halls I over heard people talking about parties and things I'm never invited to. I approached the cafeteria tables I saw two people sitting at one. First a short boy with red hair, green eyes and wide framed glasses, he's wearing a lime green t-shirt with khakis his shirt is tucked into his pants he has a set of books in his lap, that's Ted. Sitting beside him is a girl with black hair who decided to dye her tips purple, she's wearing a black t-shirt with skull leggings and black shorts with black combat boots that's Jade she rarely smiles. These two are my only friends we're kind of the misfits of this high school you have the nerd, the creep, and the unknown. I'm heading over to my misfits when someone ran into me knocking me over, 

"Hey! Watch where you're-" he then looked at me "hey Rachel"

"I'm not Rachel I'm her twin sister Payton"

"Watch where you're going" he barked then walked away "wish I did run into Rachel" I heard him mumble

My friends ran over and helped me up

"How is it that I look like my popular twin but treated like the ugly sister"

"That's something I'll never understand" Ted said

I stood up and brushed myself off

"I can make him disappear" Jade said

"It's fine...remember when you made your dad disappear?"

"hey! He shouldn't have grounded me and plus he needed to go to therapy anyways"

I rolled my eyes, If you can't tell Jade is the 'tough' one of the group while Ted he's just like a little helpless   We went over to the table and sat down,

"Why are you late? Did little miss perfect take eight hours to get ready?" Jade asked

"No I just woke up late"

"Were you up all night doing homework?" Ted asked cheerfully

"No try studying and when I tried going to sleep that's when my sister decided to talk to her boyfriend all night"

"What was it about this time?" Jade asked

"Some concert her boyfriend is taking her too next week"

"Who?" Ted asked in anticipation

"Jake Thomas I believe...ugh why is he so special he's just another pop star who got lucky no big deal"

They both shrugged

"Who's all going?" Jade asked

"The whole cheer team along with some of the football players"

"Speaking of the devils here they come" Jade said
