My Life Changed When I Met Him

Chapter 9- Meeting His Mom

Jake and I spent all day Saturday and Sunday together. Saturday we went to the movies and watched Love Is A Battlefield not the greatest movie. After the movies we went and got my friends and sister. We played lazer tag Jake rented it out so we weren't bugged by crazed fans. On Sunday we all got up and went to church then out for breakfast. We went to Denny's the wait wasn't very long we got there really early then when noon hit it became crowded and people were staring so we left. Around one we all went to the basketball courts. I didn't go on twitter because I knew I was going to have thousands of messages I know what you're thinking, "tell Jake he'll handle it" but I don't want to because I don't want him to worry I'll just leave it alone. I spent all day Monday in the studio with him listening to the new songs and they are really good, and when he had breaks we walked around once he was done in the studio he and I went to go pick up his little sister and brother.

We are in the car heading to their school Chauncey is driving us,

"So how old are your siblings?"

"Caleb is seven and Carly is five"

"Aww that's cute, still young" I smiled

"And growing fast" he said

It was quiet the rest of the ride he seemed like he had something on his mind.

We're in the school parking lot. Jake asked me if I wanted to go in with him I politely declined and told him that I would wait in the car with Chauncey. I watched him walk into the elementary school,

"You must be one special girl" he said

"What?"

"You must mean a lot to him"

I felt my cheeks heat up and my stomach is getting ready for the party

"How can you tell?"

"Out of all his girlfriends he never let his siblings around them"

"Really?"

He nodded "Yes ma'am"

"Do you know how many girlfriends he had before me?"

What? I'm curious

"Between you and I...seven"

"Damn"

I saw Jake walk out of the school with a boy who looks like him and a brown hair brown eyes girl they're skipping beside him while he carries their bags. He opened the car door and helped them in and then he got in there is a lot of staring,

"Jake who is this?" Caleb asked

I looked at Jake then back at the kids

"Caleb, Carly this is Payton she's my girlfriend"

All they did was stare it was really awkward for me.

We arrived outside of my house. I opened the car door and got out,

"You can ask" I heard Jake say "hey Payton"

I looked at Jake "yeah?"

"Someone wants to ask you something" he pointed to Carly.

I looked at her and she started playing with her fingers she is very shy

"You wanted to ask me something" I said with a smile

She nodded "D-do you want to c-come to our pool party?"

I looked at Jake

"My mom is having a pool party later on"

"So can you come?" Caleb asked

"Uhh yeah sure I'll go"

The kids smiled
