My Life Changed When I Met Him

Chapter 28- Goodbyes Are A Pain

I'm sitting on the edge of my bed holding the picture that sits on my side table next to my bed. I got up around 6:30am and started getting ready I'm wearing a yellow t-shirt with light blue shorts, I curled my hair and put it half down half up I went light with the make up today I didn't put on any eye make up though well just eye shadow that's it. Someone knocked on my door I got up and opened it, it's my sister she's wearing a pink and white cheer outfit which had Camp Cheer Touch in golden letters on the front I let her in and we both sat on the bed,

"You leave for cheer camp today"

"Yeah"

"Can you believe we only have one more month of school and then we graduate" I said trying to take my mind off of her leaving

"Yeah and then next week is Prom which I don't feel like going to"

"What? why? prom was all you could talk about"

"Because I'm not going if your not going and plus I'll be at camp I think doing this is more important than prom"

I smiled "you sure?"

She nodded "but remember we have to come back for graduation"

"I know" I said with a smile "and then I start college work"

she looked at my suitcases then me

"You leave for tour today"

"Yup"

just then our dad walked in and took the suitcases and left,

"Not much of a morning person" my sister laughed

"Well it is eight in the morning and he hasn't had his coffee" I smiled

Baylor ran in with Ruby behind him. Rachel picked up Ruby,

"How is the camp letting you bring Ruby with you? Thought it was no pets allowed"

"Dad pulled a few strings...wait" she said looking at me "how'd you know pets weren't allowed there"

i picked up Baylor and he laid in my lap

"I sorta kinda checked out the website"

"Why?"

"Just wanted to make sure it was safe for you"

"I'm going to miss you"

"I'm going to miss you too"

"Payton! Rachel! Let's go!" our dad hollered from downstairs

"Coming!" we both yelled in unison

I grabbed my white jacket along with Baylor, my sister and I both walked out of my room and downstairs,

"So you ready?" my sister asked holding Ruby

we walked outside

"Screaming fans, no alone time with Jake, can't go anywhere without guards and staying up late just to spend time with him...who wouldn't be?" I laughed

"Don't worry" a voice said

Next thing I knew arms wrapped around my waist and a head rested on my shoulder that's when I knew who it was

"I'll make time for you" Jake said

"I love you"

"Love you more"

"Not possible"

He kissed my cheek

"Awww you two are so cute together" my sister cooed
