Chapter 35-Old Friends New Problems

I'm at sound check watching Jake. The hotel room incident didn't make my dad too happy once he opened the door and saw Jake shirtless he thought things he said that the next time this happens we are both getting separate rooms, but Jake and I are making sure it doesn't happen again. I'm sitting in a chair between Chris and Ryan we are watching Jake go over the choreography I'm making sure my hair stays down around my neck and Jake is hiding it with his hoodie,

"Everything ok?" Ryan asked

"Yeah"

I decide not to say anything and people think that there is something wrong with me

"JAKE!" I heard a girl scream

I quickly turned around and saw a strawberry red haired girl she's light skinned with a fantastic complextion she has long slender legs and beautiful green eyes when she looks at Jake she has a sparkle in her eye I looked at Jake "his cheeks will get sore if he keeps smiling that hard"

"AMY!" he yelled

he jumped off the stage and ran to her picking her up and spinning her around in his arms "ouch that hurt"

"Ryan who is that?" I asked concered

"Oh that" he said pointing to the girl "that's Amy Summer Jakes bestfriend"

I pulled my phone out from my back pocket and messaged my sister,

"S.O.S!!"

"What's wrong?"

"Who is Amy Summer?"

"Jakes best friend who also has a crush on him she's also the reason why two of Jake's girlfriends broke up with him"

"Does he like her?"

"I dont know they are pretty close...don't tell me she's there"

"she is and he's pretty excited"

"I'm pretty sure it's nothing"

I looked at them and they are holding hands

"They are holding hands! I'm losing my Jakey!"

"Pay calm down Jake would never leave you...you mean too much to him"

"You're right it's probably nothing"

"Just keep me informed"

"Alright I love you"

"Love you too"

I put my phone back in my pocket then looked back at Jake. I swear if he gets any closer to her they might as well get in bed. Bethany came over,

"It's time for your rehersal"

"I'm not feeling too good I think I'm just going to go back to the hotel"

she looked at Jake and Amy then back at me,

"It's ok just focus on tonight"

I walked up on the stage.

My rehersal is over and its Jake's turn. While I was rehersaing all he did was talk to Amy and during his all he did is look at Amy she couldn't stop smiling. I'm sitting beside Bethany,

"I cant take this anymore" I huffed

Getting up from my seat I walked off,

"Payton wait up!" Bethany yelled running towards me

We're far from the stage sitting on the stands,

"How can I perform tonight knowing that she's going to be there probably backstage all over him"

"Don't you trust Jake?" Bethany asked

"I do it's just her I don't trust I mean have you been watching her?"

"Payton it's ok"

"Did you see how happy he was when he saw her? do you know how bad that hurt me? my sister is wrong there is something going on between them"

I cried into my hands "I'm losing Jake to strawberry shortcake"

she put her arm around me and I laid my head on her shoulder

"I just want to go back to the hotel" I cried

"Alright lets go tell your dad"

we both got up and left.

-Jake's P.O.V-

I'm sitting on stage next to Amy. I'm so happy to have her back we're really close and she's a great friend. She's always there when I need her. She lives here in Miami and whenever I do a concert near her town I always invite her to sound check. We're sitting on the stage just talking about what we've been up to,

"So who is that girl that's here?" she asked

"Who?"

"The blonde"

"Oh that's my girlfriend"

"She's pretty how long have you two been together?'

"Four almost five amazing months"

"So you love her?"

I looked at her puzzled on why she would ask such an obvious question "Of course I do she means the world to me"

"Do you think you mean everything to her?"

"What are you trying to get at?"

"I've just been watching her with Ryan and they are pretty close"

I took a drink from my water,

"Jake I think Payton likes Ryan"

I closed the bottle of water "I think you're crazy Ryan doesn't like Payton and Payton doesn't like Ryan they are just friends"

she's really trying to piss me off and it's working

"I'm just trying to look out for you Jake I don't want to see you hurt"

"I won't just stay out my relationship" I said irritated

she kept quiet. I saw Bethany walk up to Jason he didn't look too happy,

"Babe what's wrong?"

I rolled my eyes

"Somethings wrong and don't call me that"

I got up and went over to them,

"What's wrong?" I asked

Jason didn't look too happy when he saw me,

"Payton doesn't feel good" he said coldly

Just then Payton walked up and eyed Amy.

-Payton's P.O.V-

I walked up and stood inbetween my dad and Bethany I saw Jake and not too far behind him is strawberry shortcake. I couldn't even look at Jake,

"So are we ready to go?" I asked Bethany

"Are you going to stay with her?" my dad asked

"Wait you're letting her go?!" Jake exclaimed

"Babe!" Amy winned

she makes me want to throw up.

"Enough!" Jake snapped "Amy you are just a friend that is all you ever will be! I don't like you as a girlfriend I like you as a friend and that's it!"

"but babe"

Ok this girl is getting on my last nerves and is going to be put in her place,

"Amy enough" I snapped "get this through your head and to that small microscopic brain of yours Jake does not like you as a girlfriend and you know why because he already has one and that lucky person is me you are just a pathetic girl who needs to find her own relationship and stop homewrecking on his you will never have Jake. So stop moving in because you will get quickly kicked out"

everyone looked at me shocked.
