Chapter 4- Concert Aftermath

It's Thursday morning the day after the concert, my alarm woke me up at 6:30 I groaned I'm so tired. I checked my phone I have a message from Jake and smiled,

"GoodMorning beautiful hope you have a fantastic day at school 😊"

"GoodMorning and I'll try 😊"

I got out of bed and took a shower. I can't go a day without taking a shower. I went back into my room so I could get dressed, I'm wearing a black t-shirt with white denim jean shorts with a brown belt then I slipped on a pair of white vans. I put my hair in a side braid and put one of the roses in my hair,

"Payton!!! Someone's here!" I heard my sister yell.

I went down the steps and saw my sister on the couch painting her nails the school colors. I opened the door to see a pest that I can't get ride of,

"Hey loser where's your sister?"

I decided to play a little game

"Baby it's me Rachel"

"Aww I'm sorry baby I love you"

I mentally threw up

"I'm tired of dealing with your bullshit it's over"

"What? Is it because we haven't had sex?"

"Eww gross"

He's been dating my sister for two years and he can't tell us apart. I understand the sex we both want to wait till marriage

"Payton! Who is at the door?"

Jigs up

"Payton?!"

He looks madder than a bull on steroids

She came running over "are you two ever going to get along?"

"When he drops dead" I huffed

"Payton!" my sister yelled

I looked at them both "I'm going to be late for school" I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.

I'm sitting with my friends at the lunch table talking about the concert

"That sounds amazing!" Ted exclaimed

"Yeah" I said smiling

I took the flower out of my hair and just held it remembering last night the way he smiled at me and how I was so nervous around him I couldn't stop smiling, just then I heard screaming snapping me out of my thoughts. Ted, Jade and I all decided to go check it out, we pushed through the crowd,

"Dad?"

"Hey I was coming to go get you and your sister"

"I thought you were in the studio and don't you always tell me that you're too busy to hangout with us"

"I cleared my schedule"

I smiled and so did he

"Well I know Rachel won't come unless you bring Jake"

He just looked at me and I shrugged. Rachel walked up and I told her what's going on,

"Well I'm going to be super busy since they moved prom to next weekend also I need to-"

"Jakes coming" I interrupted

"Well I can squeeze you in" she smiled

My dad and I chuckled.
