Chapter 17- Hidden Talent

Friday to Monday everything you heard or saw was about the break up. During school people kept asking me about Jake and if we're still friends. I kept quiet. Jake and I haven't been seeing each other in the time period of the break up we wanted it to believable as possible, it was so hard not to see him. Day five finally came! Jake and I are out for lunch. We're sitting in a booth at Panera we get a few stares here and there but we ignore it,

"So what was the five days like for you?" I questioned as I dipped my bread in my broccoli and cheddar soup

"Crazy every time I turned around I'm either doing a radio show or on t.v"

I couldn't believe how believable we were

"What about you?" Jake asked as he took a drink of his Pepsi

"Just a lot of people asking if we were still friends"

He smiled then took my hand

"I'm so glad it was fake I don't think I could ever see myself without you"

Here comes the party. It didn't bug me anymore it just made me smile,

"Me too you're the best thing that has ever happened to me"

I saw his cheeks turn a bright red

"Whoa whoa whoa wait a minute!!" I laughed "did I just make Jake Thomas blush?!"

He laughed and nodded "yeah"

"I love you" I smiled

"I love you too"

"Oh while we were broken up I wrote a song"

He looked at me as in disbelief,

"Oh really?"

I nodded

"What's the title?"

"Missing You"

"Do you think I could hear it?"

My eyes grew wide "What? now?!"

He chuckled "no when we go to the studio...unless you want to sing it now"

"Studios fine"

I smiled and we both continued our lunch.

We're at the studio. It's not a lot of people in here just my dad, Jake, Chase, and three other people who I don't know,

"Hey it's my main man Jake!" a brown haired man said

"Hey Joey!" Jake said with a smile

"Good evening Jake" said a lady who looks a little older than my dad "how's those pipes?" she laughed

"Good"

"oh that must be his vocal coach" I thought

"Hey Jake are we making any new videos?"

"not today Kevin"

"Found his director"

I walked in and went over to my dad

"Hey sweetie" he kissed the top of my head

"Hey daddy" I smiled

"Jason is that?"

"Yes Victoria she's my daughter" he said with a smile

"She's beautiful"

I smiled "Thank you"

"Hey Jason" it's Jake "I have some news for you"

My dad looked at Jake "what kind of news"

"Your daughter has a song for us"
