Chapter 32- The Replacment

-Jakes P.O.V-

I'm sitting on the bed in the hotel scrolling through my phone on twitter I smile at all the positive things my fans are saying about Payton and I, they finally understand how much this one girl, this one human being makes me feel and how important she is in my life. I then see a FaceTime call from my brother I answer it. My brother and sisters face come onto the screen they are still in their pajamas

"Jake?" Caleb asked

"What's up?"

"Caleb and I was wondering somethin" my sister said

"Oh yeah?" I smiled "what would that be?"

"What is love?" Caleb asked

Puzzled at the question I just looked at him

"you tell Payton you love her all the time" Caleb added

"We just wanna know what it is?" Carly asked

I smiled "how do you explain love to children?" I thought but then quickly smiled

"love is like" I started to say and then looked at them "you know how happy you get when you get your favorite toy on your birthday?"

They both nodded

"It's like that but a billion times stronger"

They smiled and their eyes grew wide

"So Payton is like a toy on your birthday?" Caleb questioned

"Yeah"

"Why you love Payton?" Carly asked

They are so intrigued by love...but what made them?

"Yeah when did you figure out you loved Payton" Caleb asked

I smiled at the memory as if it was just yesterday

"I knew I loved Payton when I couldn't get her out of my head no matter how much I tried. I would try and think of something else but she would come back into my thoughts and then I would start smiling and then that would just make me want to see her and if I couldn't see her I would be really upset see love makes you act so silly it takes control of you. It makes you think things you would never would of thought of before, love will make you do things you never would've done for example my ex Tish I never opened her car door, I never cared where she was I never got...jealous" I said they continued looking at me "but with Payton I open her car door, I make sure she has her guards with her"

"Why?" Caleb asked

"Because I can't lose her"

"Cause you love her" Carly said with a smile

I chuckled "yeah...when you're in love you always want to see that person happy no matter what you have to do"

They started yawning which meant nap time so I decided to wrap it up,

"Love is the moment you know you can trust and feel safe and do anything for someone and have enough confidence in yourself to know that person feels the same exact way about you, never wanting anything but the best for that person"

"So that's you and Payton love?" Caleb asked

I nodded

"what is mommy's love to us?" Carly asked

I smiled "I'll tell you that after your nap"

They nodded then ended the call

"So young and so curious"

I smiled at the thought,

"That was sweet" I heard a voice exclaim

I look behind me and see Payton's eyes flutter open I smiled,
