Chapter 8- Today You Made An Enemy

It's Friday morning, I woke up to the smell of bacon. "My sister doesn't cook" I thought. I got out of bed and went downstairs to find my dad in the kitchen making breakfast,

"What are you doing here?"

"What no GoodMorning dad" he laughed

"GoodMorning dad" I smiled

I walked over and kissed him on the cheek

"GoodMorning and I'm taking you to school today"

"What about Rachel?"

"She already left she has a meeting with the cheer squad, now go get ready please"

I ran up the steps

"It's going to be a little chilly today!"

"Ok!"

I did my normal routine. I'm wearing a pink t-shirt with the hoodie Jake gave me, black skinny jeans and white vans I put my hair in a side braid. I came back down the steps and ate breakfast while my dad made phone calls. Once I was done I cleaned up the kitchen and heard someone knock on the door. I went over and answered it standing in the door way is Jake along with the guards I let them in Jake kissed my cheek,

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Your dad called us"

My dad came down the steps telling us to get in the car. As the driver took me to school my dad is telling me that I need to be more careful,

"Why? I'm still Payton Miller the seventeen year old senior"

"But you're now Payton Miller the seventeen year old senior who is dating Jake Thomas"

I huffed "but do we really need to bring the guards?"

"There are teenage girls and you can even ask Jake they are powerful"

I looked at Jake

"He's right"

I rolled my eyes.

We arrived outside of the front of the school men with cameras are watching and waiting,

"Is this the paparazzi?" I asked

"Yup they are waiting for you" my dad said

I mentally groaned "what did I get myself into" I thought, then through the paparazzi are fans from different schools and fans from my school are standing at the windows waiting. The guards opened the door and all I heard is screaming and questions which I could barely understand. My dad got out first then Jake and myself the paparazzi immediately started taking pictures Jake kept my face covered. Finally making it into the school all you heard is screaming my dad and Jake went into the office while I went to look for my friends. People kept asking me about Jake I ignored them I finally spotted them,

"Jade! Ted!" I hollered

They turned around

"I've been looking for you everywhere"

"Well here we are" Jade said

"What's wrong?" I asked

"It's the preps all day they've been talking about you and Jake and how he shouldn't be with you and when we went to confront them they told us that we're not going to be friends anymore" Ted explained

"We're always going to be friends"

"no we're not" Jade step forward "you're dating Jake you're going to be going to huge parties clubs and everything like that where you'll make all new friends and kick us to the curb"
