Chapter 19- I Messed Up

I woke up from an amazing sleep and checked my phone for messages and I had over twenty "well that's different I went from a girl who hardly ever got messages to a girl whose phone blows up overnight" they were just messages saying how amazing I did at the concert. I decided to go on twitter,

@PaytonMiller: Hey it's Saturday I have no plans what can I or should I get into?

I then went over to the trends and the top trend is Payton Performance I decided to check it out scrolling through the tweets. They were asking if I was scared and other things like that I decided to reply to some. As I was scrolling through I saw a tweet that caught my eye

@Sally45: Payton please please PLEASE do a song with Jake!!

I thought about it and decided it would be a great idea. I logged off twitter and messaged Jake to come over. I took a shower then got dressed in tan shorts with a pink halter top I put on make up and re-straightened my hair. It was around ten forty when I heard the door open. I ran out of my room and stood at the top of the steps I saw my dad walk in with my brother and some other people,

"Where'd you guys go?" I asked from the top of the steps

My brother looked up and smiled "GoodMorning sleeping beauty"

"Morning" I said with a smile

I went down the steps and into the kitchen and kissed my dad on his cheek,

"So what's going on?" I asked as I helped them unpack the groceries

"I'm letting your brother have a party"

"No supervision?" I asked

"Nope" my brother cheerfully said

"Well where are you going to be?"

"I have a meeting to go to then me and some of the guys are going out"

i shrugged, and watched as my brothers guests plopped down on the couch and turned on the tv

"Your friends aren't much for helping"

"Hey!" one yelled "we carried in the bags"

I huffed "who are they?" I asked my brother

"Jack" he said pointing to a black spiked haired guy "Tyler" he pointed to a brown haired boy with black highlights "and Jessie" she has cherry red hair

I couldn't see their faces because they are facing the tv

"Pay?" my dad questioned "where's Ray?"

"Oh she spent the night at Sam's house?"

"The one with the baby?"

I nodded

"It would've been nice and respectful if she told someone"

I heard a knock on the door

"Come in!" I yelled

My dad gave me a stern look I guess I should've checked before I yelled that but I knew who it was, I saw Jake walk into the kitchen Austin's friends just looked at him then back at the tv,

"Jake what are you doing here?" my dad asked

"Payton messaged me and asked me to come over"

My dad looked at me

"Oh!" Jake said "I got you these" he handed me flowers and kissed my cheek "you did fantastic last night"

I smiled "thanks"

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"If you and I could do a duet together"

I looked at Jake and then my dad
