(Myra's P.O.V)

The sound of a large moving truck woke me up from my slumber. I groaned pulling the blanket over my head and covering my ears. Summer is for sleeping in, not being woken up by the new neighbors. I thought to myself. Yes, but these new neighbors could be cute boys. I hate when my mind makes good points.

I stumbled out of my bed. Half awake, I looked at my clock, 9 a.m., good time to wake up. Looking through my dresser I picked out a pair of jean shorts and a Harvard sweatshirt. I threw my hair up into a top knot and applied a minimal amount of makeup.

Sighing with somewhat content I walked out of my room. My house was fairly quiet. My father, and sister had left for work and I was alone with my dog Toby. Walking down the stairs I saw my chores list for the day.

1. Water the plants

2 Do the dishes

Easy enough I thought to myself. I slipped into my muck boots and let Toby out first then I followed. I took in the fresh summer air. The grass was lush and green. I walsed out to the barn. My family runs a small nursery. The flowers were all doing very well, and would be ready for the end of the summer. I turned on the autimatic waterer, and walked out.

Done, with my first chore. I mentally checked it off list. Just as I reached my back door to enter the house, I remembered that Toby was out here too.

"Toby!" I called and looked around.

There were two boys playing football with a dog that looked miraculously like Toby. I called his name once again and the dog stopped, looked at me, and then went back to playing.

Chuckling at my dog's mischievousness I walked over to the back yard next to mine.

"I'm sorry. Sometimes he wanders off." I said as I got to the two boys. I turned to Toby and told him to go to the house, he ran off and as I was about to follow him, the boys stopped me.

"Hey." one of them called. "Wait up!"

I stopped and turned around to face them. Seeing them I could tell they looked somewhat like brothers but weren't identical, one was clearly older than the other. The younger one looked about my age.

"Hi." the older one said, sticking out his hand. "I'm Nash Grier."

I shook his hand and then Nash turned to the younger one. "This is my brother Hayes."

Right away I noticed their stunning blue eyes that would probably glow in the dark they were so bright.

"Hi, I'm Myra Gerry. You guys look really familiar. "I said.

"Yeah we get that a lot. We both have pretty popular vine accounts. "

That's where I recognize them from. My entire group friend loves them. They're going to be so jealous when they hear this.

"So, Myra, what grade are you in?" Hayes asked.

"I'm going into eighth grade." I stated

"Cool me too. What school do you go to?"

"The only school around here, Riverview High school."

"Really?" He said "That's where we're going to go next year."

Nash was looking back and forth between us as we were talking.

"Cool, I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other. Well it was nice meeting you but I got to go. Bye."

I turned on my heel and jogged back to my house. Toby was waiting for me patiently. I let him in the house and started to do the dishes. All the while thinking about Hayes' gorgeous blue eyes. Snap out of it Myra! My brain told me he has tons of girls much prettier than me fawning after him! Don't stoop to their level.

The rest of the day was uneventful. I did by chores and cleaned the house for good measure. I sat on my couch thinking about Hayes' eyes, and his cute smile.

Not knowing what to do with these new found feelings I decided to get them out the only way I knew how, in a song. ( A|N Sorry that was the worst line ever, I didn't know how to transition :P)

Sorry to disappoint you but no I did not just get up and sing. I walked into my room and took out my cello, and composer's paper. Laying them on my stand I wrote Blue Eyes on the top of the paper. After that the notes just flowed out of my mind and on to the paper. Before I knew it my composition was finished and I was at rest.

I was just about to play the piece through for a final time when someone started tapping on my window. Looking up from the paper I saw just the eyes that I was writing about.

Hayes was standing outside my window. Nash was behind him chuckling at my confused expression. I put down the heavy instrument and walked over to the window.

Lifting up the window I was inches away from Hayes' eyes, only the screen separating us.

"Hi." I said.

"We heard you playing and wanted to compliment you."

That was weird, people usually don't walk all the way over here just to compliment me.

"Thank you." I said, I could feel my cheeks burning, but couldn't tell if it was the sun or Hayes.

"That's not true!" Nash said from behind us. "You just wanted to see her again!"

"Shut up!" Hayes yelled at his brother. Now I knew I was blushing.

He turned back to me and smiled nervously. "Did you write that piece yourself?" he asked.

"Yes." I looked down with embarrassment.

"It was really good."

There was an awkward pause in the conversation.

"Well." Nash said cutting through the silence. "This has been thoroughly awkward, and we have to go back and unpack. Nice to see you again, Myra!"

"Bye. " I said as they walked away, my cheeks still burning. I pushed my feelings aside and pretended nothing happened. No feelings. No boyfriend. Just friends.
