Hayes POV

December 1st

It had been a month since we went to the lake house. Everyone was still ignoring Myra, and I was still mad at her. I didn’t show it, but I still had a little crush on her, even though she might be dating Isaac, I’m still fuzzy on if she was or not.

Waking up that morning, it was cold. My blankets were so warm; I didn’t want to wake up for school. I figure bounded in my room, "Hi Sky" I said, my voice was groggy.

"Hayes, will you take me sledding today?" she asked in her little kid voice, gosh I would love to do that instead of going to school.

"I would love to Sky, but I have school."

"No we don’t," Nash was standing in my doorway, sipping what I suppose was coffee, "Snow day."

I shot out of bed, SNOW DAY! Looking over at Myra’s window, she was pacing around her room, she looked like she was arguing with someone, but I couldn’t tell who.

"Come on man, we're going sledding with Myra and Ali." Nash said leaving my room. I looked back at Myra’s window, she wasn’t there anymore. I quickly got dressed, sweats and a tee shirt, we were going sledding not ballroom dancing.

I stepped out of room, and went down stairs. Nash was waiting for me with Sky. They were both ready to go, and we headed out the door. Walking up to the Gerry household, they were waiting for us. Skylynn jumped out of the sled that I was pulling her in, and ran up to Myra.

"Myra!" She shouted, Myra had baby sat a few time for us, and Sky loved her.

"Hi Sky, you ready to go sledding?" she picked her up and placed her on her hip.

"Yeah!" Myra put Sky back into the sled, and walked next to me. She was finally out of that cast, and now only had to wear a small brace around her knee. She smiled at me and started to walk to the small hill, a little ways from the houses.

The snow was still beating down on us when we got to the hill. It was steep, but not dangerous. I pulled the sled to the top of the hill, and positioned myself in the back; Skylynn came and sat in my lap. I heard the snap of a photo, and I assume that they were taking pictures of us, the fans love Sky.

"Ready?"

"Yeah!" She screamed in response, I pushed us off and we went speeding down the hill. At the bottom, I jumped out and pulled Sky, and the sled, back to the top.

We kept going down, and up, down, and up, for a solid two hours. I was tried, and really just wanted to go home. We made our way back to my house, entering the door; we were the only ones home. My mom and step dad were probably out running errands.

We all removed our soaking wet snow pants and jackets. I flipped my hair, to get the snow that had fallen in it out. "Do you guys want to stay and watch a movie or something?" I asked looking around the room.

"Umm," Myra looked back at her sister, "Sure, what do you want to watch?"

"Something scary," Ali commented.

"Sure, I’ll go make some popcorn." Nash ran out of the living room, and into the kitchen, I heard the popcorn start to pop.

We all sat on the couch, and turned on the TV. Scrolling through the on demand section, we would stop, and look at the different options. Eventually we decide on The Excorsis. Nash came in with popcorn and hot chocolate.

Ali sat on Nash’s lap, and pulled a blanket over them. Myra and I were sitting next o each other, when there was a jump scare in the movie, she would jump up, and sort of land in my arms. After a few of these jump scares she just stayed in my arms, and didn’t move. I could smell the cocoanut shampoo that she used. It felt a little weird smelling her hair, but my chin was rested on her head, so really, I was just breathing.

"We're going to go upstairs." Ali said sitting up and pulling Nash up the stairs.

"Use protection!" Myra yelled, after them. I laughed.

"You, Myra Gerry, are something different." I said as she turned her head to face me.

"Why thank you." She smiled, showing me her braces. Then we just kind of sat there, smiling like idiots. Then she smacked me, yelling, "SMACK CAM!!!!!!" Nash and Ali came running out with cameras. Myra jumped up.

"Dude, really?" I whipped the cream that was on her hand off my face. She grinned and nodded.

"Did I hurt the little baby?" She asked in a baby voice.

"No, you hit like a little bitch anyways." (A|N Jack J's tweet, LMAO)

"Ouch, that one hurt." She clasped her chest, with fake hurt.

"Not as much as this," I charged up to her, and slung her over my shoulder. She was small, and I could pick her up easily.

"Hayes! Put me down!" She screamed.

"Nope," I smiled, and opened the door, to the freezing wind outside. I could feel her shivering.

"Hayes, don’t you dare." She said, I could hear the scowl on her face.

"Sorry babe." I walked over to the snow bank, and threw her in.

"HAYES!" She scream, her head popping out. She stood up, with an evil smile. Then she threw a snowball at me.

"Oh it’s on!" I yelled returning the ball. We went back and forth for about ten minutes, until she finally surrendered. "Yes! Victory!" I screamed, running at her.

When I finally got to her, I picked her up, and threw her over my shoulder. She swayed lightly, as I trudged through the snow, to the door. We entered and I threw her on the couch. "Smack down!" I jumped after her, like a pro-wrestler, and began to tickle her.

"Hayes! Stop!" She laughed, and screamed at the same time. I continued to tickle her, until she was almost kicking me.

I pulled away and sat up. She was still lying on her back on the couch, I noticed that her lips were blue, and her feet were ice cold. "Oh my god, Myra!" I cried and threw a blanket at her. She sat up, and I wrapped it around her shoulders, and then ran to the kitchen to make some hot chocolate.

When that was done, I walked back with two mugs and handed one to her. She moved down and sat on the ground with her blanket still wrapped around her shoulders. I sat down behind her and put my head on her shoulder. I picked up the game controller and turned on the council.

Looking over her shoulder, I started to play the game; she picked up the other controller, and started to play with me. This was fun, playing Halo with my best friend sitting in my lap. I smiled, and looked back up at the screen, Myra wasn’t very good at this, and she kept on getting shot.

"You know you're like, my best friend, right?" She said, turning her head to face mine, which was still rested on her shoulder.

"Yeah, I know." I smiled, and looked at her lips. I would have kissed her, if someone hadn’t knocked on the door.
