Hayes POV

Myra and Ali were still at my house. I jumped out of Chucks moms car and into the house. I was wet and cold. I just wanted to sleep.

"I'm back!" I called as I entered the house.

There was a movement up stairs. Myra and Sky popped there heads around the corner and looked down the stairs.

"Why aren't my parents back yet?" I hadn't noticed their car in the drive way.

"They called about a half an hour ago, they said that the roads were too bad and they are just going to stay at a hotel tonight."

"Oh okay." I said pulling off my snow gear, leaving me in a wet shirt and sweats. "Where are Nash and Ali?"

"They have been up in Nashs room watching movies all day." She said rolling her eyes. Myra walked down the stairs with Sky at her heels. she took the wet snow gear that was on the ground, and put it in front of the fire.

"What would I do without you?" I asked smiling at her.

She turned in a sassy way and looked at me. "Well you would have a lot more chores to do." I laughed and went into the kitchen.

There was smoothie on the counter. I took it and walked back into the living room.

"So how was the skiing?" Myra asked.

I instantly went red. It wasn't really that I was embarrassed about the kiss, more dreading telling her about it. I could tell anyone else, but not Myra."It was fine." I said, avoiding her eye contact.

She looked unsatisfied with the answer, but didn't say anything. "Did they say anything about me?" She looked at me, and caught my eyes, I couldn't look away.

"No," I said, and cracked under her hard gaze. I glanced away, and couldn't look back at her. I could feel her eyes on me, not in a way that she was mad, but I could tell she just wanted her friends back.

I was silent, still not wanting to look at her. If I looked at her, then I would be sad. I didn't have to see her to know she was fighting back tears. She had been so different lately. Myra was slipping away. After she hurt her leg, then lost her friends, that when it started. She was trying ti hide it, but she couldn't from me.

"Hayes, please look at me." She said in a quiet voice.

"Why, I see you everyday." I tried to sound like it was nothing.

"Hayes please." As she said that, her voice cracked ever so slightly. I still shook my head, and concentrated on my smoothie. But I couldn't stop anymore, I turned my head to look at her tear stained face.

I broke a little when I saw that. I didn't know what to do, I had never seen her cry like this. Sure I had seen her cry with her leg, but this was different, every tear was cause by me, and there was nothing I could do about it.

"I'm going to go," She said, breaking our eye contact. She walked out and slammed the door behind her.

I heard a rustling upstairs, Nash and Ali came down the stairs. "What happened?" Ali asked.

"I don't know Myra was just," my voice trailed, I really had no idea what happened.

Ali looked over at Nash, they nodded. Ali kissed Nash on the cheek, and grabbed her jacket. She walked out to I assume talk to Myra.

Nash came over and sat next to me. "So what happened?"

I huffed, "Well you know that Isaac kid that Myra has been seeing?" He nodded, and let me continue. "We'll when we met him, I think all of our friends wanted me and Myra to date, but then she liked Isaac, and now her friends won't talk to her."

He looked away for a second, not sure what to say. "Well why don't you just take her to a New Years or Christmas party, you can set her back up with her friends, and it will be fine."

"I don't know if that will work," I said.

"Why not try."

I shrugged and pulled out my phone, after making a few calls I found out that Diana was planning on having a party on New Years. This was perfect, hopefully I can get Myra back with her friends.

I toke my jacket and walked over to Myra's house.

It was still snowing, but the sun had gone down, and it was now dark. I felt the wind hit my bare skin, sending shivers down my spine.

I got to the front door, and knocked. I knew Mr. Gerry wasn't home, he had a business trip.

Myra opened my door, and looked at me. Her eyes were dull, and her hair hung loosely around her shoulders.

She put on a small smile but there was nothing behind it. "I'm sorry for today, my emotions just weren't under control."

"No it's fine, I came to see if you were going to go to a New Years party on the north side?" I asked.

"I don't know, I don't have much luck with parties." She looked down at her shoes.

"Come on please," I grabbed her waist and started to tickled her.

"Hayes! Stop!"

"I'll stop if you go with me." I said.

"Fine! Fine!" she said backing away.

"Great!" I shouted and kissed her cheek, making both of us blush. "I'll see you tomorrow!" I said running back to my house. Tomorrow was the last day before winter break, we had a week till the party. I just hope nothing goes wrong.
