♥Myra POV♥
I was just looking for Hayes. He had just told me he loved me, like attacked me with feelings. At first I didn't want it. Then I realized how good it felt when I was just lying there in his arms, breathing in his cologne. I wanted him to be mine, and yes these are stupid feelings for an eighth grader, but I'm allowed feelings sometimes.
When Dave interrupted us, I wanted to punch him. Hayes was about to kiss me, then he ran away.
"What the hell Dave?"
"I was just looking for the bathroom?"
"Uhg!" I pushed past him running down the halls, looking for Hayes. Pushing past all the party goers I finally arrived at the main area. Looking around, I finally saw Hayes, but he was making out with Olivia. I wanted to go over there and slap her, but instead I just ran to my friends.
"Diana!" I called, searching desperately for her.
"What?" She said from behind me, she started to get blurry as my eyes teared up.
"I'm going home!" I said between sobs, I knew she had the sense to not follow me.
I pushed through the crowds, and ran out the door. I sprinted home. Bursting through the door, then running up to my room. Ali was sitting on the couch, watching a movie. I ran into my room, and locked the door. I flung myself on my bed, not bothering to change my clothes.
I cried into my pillow. He said he had feelings for me, he said he wanted to be with me. Then he went and made out with Olivia, I realize he was drunk, and she probably started, he didn't push away or tell he no. He just let it happen. I was exhausted, and fell asleep crying.
♥Next Morning♥
I woke up and toke a shower, scrubbing hard, to see if I could rub of the shame of last night. The worst part was that I still loved Hayes, I still wanted him. I don't know why. Why would you want to be with a boy who will probably just hurt you? That was a valid question, but it didn't matter if I liked him, he seemed to like Olivia a lot more.
Stepping out of the shower, I put on shorts and a tee shirt, and walked out. Ali was sitting in the living room with Nash, and Hayes. Looking down on them, I turned around, walking into my bedroom. I shut and locked the door.
"Myra, I know you're in there," Ali said, but I was lying on the roof. She was silent for a second, probably picking the lock, we had found out how to do that a long time ago. She walked in and looked out the window, onto the porch. "What happened?"
"Boys are stupid."
"Yeah, but having one does have its perks." She said sitting down next to me." Now, are you going to tell me what happened, or do I have to ask your friends."
"They won't remember, and even if they did I didn't tell them."
"Do you want to tell me?" She gave me her puppy dog eyes.
"Only if you promise to not be all, feelings, about it."
"You have my intention." (Faking It reference)
"Well, at the party, we played spin the bottle, and Hayes and I kissed. The Olivia was really mad, so she followed me and threatened me. Which I thought was really funny, and then Hayes came and told me his lov- really liked me, and walked away, and then I followed him and saw him kissing Olivia, so I left."
"Oh, you're having really bad luck with boys this summer." That couldn't be more true.
We just sat there, until I heard someone come into my room. It was Nash and Hayes.
