This was going to be the first party I had gone to all summer. Not only was it a real party, it was Olivia's homecoming Blowout. She decided since she wasn’t allowed to go to the actual homecoming, she would create her own. So on the night of homecoming every year, she throws a huge party for the whole class.

I sighed, looking at myself in the mirror, the usual sweat shirt and jeans. I made a face at myself. This would do, not like there's anyone to impress, they already think I’m weird. Just because I don’t make out with every boy that crosses my path, or like the same music, I've been classified as WEIRD, like, 'don’t go near Myra if you want to be cool'.

"Really?" Ali said from behind me," You need to dress up a little."

"Why? I’m just going to the movies with Hayes." I lied.

"Myra, I go to the same school as you, I know about the homecoming Blowout." She started looking through my closet, pulling out a blue skater skirt and a lace tank top crop top, she threw them at me. "Wear this; you need to renounce your title as weird girl."

I gawked at her as she left my room, I couldn’t believe she knew about that. I threw on the clothes. The skirt sat on my waist, showing the slightest bit of skin between the crop top. My hair was in a bun, Ali would never allow this.

"What do I do about my hair?" I called from my bed room.

She rushed in and pulled my hair down. The wavy chestnut hair moved down to my waist, I never wore it down, too much of a nuisance to manage. "There," she said, "Now you look presentable, don’t do anything I wouldn’t." She said walking out. I followed, stepping into my living room, I saw Hayes waiting for me. He was wearing simple khakis and vans shirt.

"Well, "He said looking at me.” I feel under dressed."

Chuckling we walked out the front door. "I'll be back by 9:00 tomorrow." I called to Ali; thankfully, my dad was away on business. Unfortunately Olivia lived down the street.

"So, Olivia," Hayes started, "What’s her problem with you?"

"Well, in seventh grade, she tried to get me to join her little posse, and I did, but then I started to get more popular, then she started to spread rumors about me."

 "Like what?" He said.

"Not in the mood to walk down that depressing story, but then I found Wendy, Diana, and Fiona, and things got better, but if you want my advice, don’t get to close to Olivia, she'll just hurt you."

"Alright, that was awfully cryptic," He said walking up the front steps of an enormous house.

Opening the door I slipped in, the party was already in full force, people were dancing, and laughing, i would have enjoyed it, if we weren’t in the Ice Queens lair.

"OMG! You made it!" Speak of the bitch. "Hayes, let me introduce you to everyone."

She led Hayes off into the crowd, and I went off to find my friends. After searching for ten minute, I found them in the corner, talking.

"Hey, guys!" I could tell they were already intoxicated.

"Hey Myra!" Dave came over and put an arm around me.

"Why do you look so nice, are you ok?" Diana asked, she sounded somewhat sober.

"Yeah, I’m fine. Hayes is here tonight, so act somewhat presentable."

"Why does it matter so much?" Wendy said with a raised eyebrow.

 "No reason!"

I heard a large laughter from the middle of the dance floor. Turning around, I saw Hayes in the middle of the group, cracking jokes. He turned to me, giving me the 'help me' look. Chuckling to myself, I went over and rescued him.
