The weekend flew by past because before I knew it, it was already Monday and I already had to go home.
"It was good that you stayed here for the weekend." My father hugged me goodbye.
"Yeah, it was." I hugged him back.
"We'll see each other soon." He said when I couldn't let go of him.
"Sorry," I quickly let go of him.
He shook his head as he touched my cheek. "You don't have to apologize, Linda."
I nodded.
A maid came up to my father.
"The car is ready, Your Majesty." She said. We were already waiting just outside of the front door of the Manse.
My father nodded as we walked down the path, to my ride home.
We didn't say anything on the walk to the car. At least, I didn't say anything-- which probably led to my father not saying anything.
I turned to my father when we reached the car-- the passenger door in the back was already open when we got there.
"Well...I'm off." I said as I reached for another hug.
My father engulfed me with another, thank goodness.
"I love you, Linda." He said above my ear. "I've always have, even when I wasn't really in your life. I'm sorry for that."
"It's okay," I said as I bit down on my lower lip.
Why was it hard to leave, I thought as I stayed in my fathers arms for a little while longer.
"I love you too." I said when we parted from our hug.
Then, I was in the car and waving to my father until I couldn't see him anymore.
It was about four in the afternoon once we got to Nobel Michel's, my home. The place where I grew up in.
Zain was at the top of the stairs, in front of the entrance, to greet me.
"Welcome back, Lady Linda." He bowed before he opened the door.
"It's good to be back." I said as we slowly walked to the grand staircase.
"So, I hear you're going to Phillip this evening." He said as we stepped on the first step. "What should I have your maid, Ashley, prepare for you?"
"Just a regular dress," I said. "I think it would be weird if I went there with one of my traditional dresses that I always wear."
Zain smiled a little. "As you wish, Your Highness." And with that, we departed at the top of the grand staircase. He going the other way as I go the other way, to my room.
Once I reached my room, I suddenly felt exhausted.
"I guess the ride over here tuckered me out a bit." I sighed as I laid on my bed and just looked at the ceiling.
My eyes drooped and I took a short nap. I was woken up by my maid, Ashley. She held a white, knee high vintage dress that had lace all over it. The dress had a sweetheart neckline to it.
"That looks beautiful." I said as I yawned a little.
She nodded as she set it down at the foot of my bed. Ashley revealed white matching high heels behind the dress.
"You never disappoint," I smiled.
"Thank you, Lady Linda." She put the high heels on the floor before she clapped her hands together. "Now, let's get you ready for you date."
