"Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette,
Starts to make its way to me.
The playful conversation starts.
Counter all your quick remarks,
Like passing notes in secrecy."

Enchanted
My lips curled into a smile and my hazel eyes danced over Kol's face. I took in his deep brown eyes, his pink lips in a smirk, the way his jaw was cut, and how his hair seemed to bounce with every step he took. The handsome man was headed right towards me.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming round with champagne. I invite you all to join me in raising a glass," someone spoke and I watched Kol falter in his step. He looked as did I afterwards, to see his mom at the top of the staircase alone making her speech.
My eyes moved to Kol to see him swiftly grab two glasses off from a waitress, winking at me. I giggled and Matt nudged me. I looked at the waitress next to us, and declined the drink. I bit my lip watching as Elijah stopped Kol, mumbling something into his ear. I sighed, impatiently. I was anxious for what he wanted to say, and the suspense only grew as he had to stop twice now.
"It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers," Esther said.
Kol moved under the arm Elijah's arm had over his shoulder. His mouth moved, but I couldn't read his lips to his brother. And then finally he was back on track. Kol stopped when he reached me. He let out a breathy chuckle, handing me one of his glasses.
"Hey," he smiled.
"Hi," I said shyly.
"Sorry I took my time getting to you," he scoffed sarcastically and I grinned in amusement.
"Well, you're here now."
"Yeah. Well, cheers, darling," he said. I clinked my glass with his and we both took a sip. "So did Matt here tell you?"
"About how you've tricked me into a date with you?" I smirked.
"A double date," he corrected. "But if you want to ditch our siblings we definitely can."
"Wow. Thanks. I'm standing right here," Matt chimed in. I laughed, wrapping an arm around my brother, hugging him.
"I'd never ditch you, Matty."
"You would with Damon," he retorted and I winced at the pang straight to my heart. I pulled away from Matt who looked at me all shocked, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have--Kol. This is a private matter. And maybe we should cancel--"
"Charlotte," Kol called as I stared at the floor. I didn't look up. His cold hand landed on my bicep. "Darling, look at me."
I tilted my head up, to stare into his eyes. Only my eyes weren't drawn to his. They were drawn to Damon's right behind Kol's head. And my ex was beckoning me over. My heart began to race as my eyes searched the room for Elena. But she was nowhere to be found. "Excuse me," I whispered to the two men beside me.
"Lottie, no--" Matt said as I pushed past Kol towards Damon. "Lottie!"
"What do you want?" I asked Damon as I stood in front of him.
