Slow Hands
I posed for the picture, smiling widely waiting for the flash to go off. Once it did I took a step back from Kol, dropping my hand that was pressed against his chest and leaving the comfort of his arm around my waist holding me against him. We both moved towards the lady using my phone to take our picture. She showed it to us and I swiped as she said there was another one. We thanked her a dozen times before she waved us off with a grin and walked towards her awaiting friend. "Aw. We're adorable," I stated.
"I really like the first one," he said and I blushed. It was a picture of us kissing deeply. Kol was holding me as I had stumbled back a bit. But there was a large smile on my face even with his lips against mine.
"I'll send you everything when we get back to the hotel," I told my boyfriend, taking his hand in my left one and shoving my phone away in my back pants pocket with my right.
"What do you want to do now?" He asked, looking around the nearly empty vicinity. We were in NYC for our anniversary that was today. We left in the afternoon when I got out of school. Last minute I had decided to go. Not that I had a choice because of a huge math test I didn't want to make up during after school hours.
"I don't know, everything's closed," I said, looking around us. We were at the Rockefeller Center, which we had technically been at for a few hours now. We did the Top Of The Rock observation deck when we first got here. Well, first thing we did after we checked into the hotel, freshened up, and got pizza for lunch.
"There's a store over there," Kol said, pointing behind us. I nodded and we headed over to the lit area, going around the ice rink we were standing in front of for our pictures. We had just left the LEGO store before it closed, which was at 8. It was getting late but Kol and I were having fun wandering around the city.
"Ahhhh," I rejoiced at the blowing heat as we entered the new store, leaving the revolving doors. "Oooh. Another toy store!" I gasped.
Kol chuckled, grabbing onto my arm as I rushed towards the large stuffed unicorn in the room. "Slow down, princess," he said.
"Oh, I want him," I whined, wrapping my free arm around the unicorn lightly as to not knock him over.
"Where are we going to put this big thing?" Kol retorted and I pouted. "You want a picture with him? I can do that."
I nodded excitedly. Kol took a few pictures of me hugging the gigantic unicorn that was on a platform making it nearly 6 feet high. I could barely reach his neck to hug. Finally when I was satisfied we continued to walk the whole store. Kol and I talked and pointed at all the plush toys. Then we headed back to the first floor where some little kids were playing with toy puppies. "Oh, my god," I gasped.
The little girl had a small pink floppy eared dog whiled the boy had a brown identical one. I dragged Kol over to the tower of the dogs. The top two racks had small ones, one layer for each color. But I grabbed one of the bigger plushes, on the bottom rack, hugging it to my chest, admiring how soft the fur was. "Look at the big nose," I cooed, holding the small brown pup to Kol's face while he cringed.
"Do you want him?" Kol asked me and my brows raised. We had already established this was a super expensive store. I pulled the big dog from me, and searched for his price tag. I mean he was about half my size. He was just about from my head and his, he ended at the end of my torso. He had to be expensive. There were teddy bears in here over a hundred dollars. "Yes or no, Charlie?" Kol asked.
