My eyes danced over the gorgeous skyline, my jaw slacked. "This is hands down the best view I've ever seen in my whole entire life," I stated, turning to look at Kol.

"Do you not own a mirror?" He smirked.

"It's corny lines like those that make me happy I'm here with you," I smiled, leaning closer to peck his lips. "Thank you."

"For what?" He frowned in confusion.

"For... just being yourself. You got me here. I'm in Seattle!"

He smiled softly, "I am so glad you're here."

"Yeah?" I blushed, smoothing out the bottom of my checkered dress.

"Mhm. And I'm glad you didn't break up with me," he said and I frowned.

"I know. I'm sorry for even saying that I couldn't be with you. I want that--this, more than anything. It hasn't been long but you mean a lot to me, and it's almost scary. I don't want to depend on you for my happiness, but for months I haven't been happy with anything or anyone. You make me feel good."

"It's okay, you can depend on me for anything. I plan to make you very happy, that's someone I want for you even when I'm not around."

"And that makes you the best boyfriend already," I said.

"You mean that? Because I want to be your boyfriend for a really long time."

"Kol, babe, yes," I promised. "I don't want to break up. We just got together. I know earlier I said a few things. But I wasn't thinking. After school there's nothing to stop me from leaving Mystic Falls."

"You'd do that for me? Move?"

"It's too soon to be sure," I said, blushing. Kol nodded slowly and I looked back around us as the Ferris wheel lowered to the bottom. And then we started going up for a second round.

"It's going to be hell being away from you," he said and I looked at him again.

"I can always come visit you."

"After school ends?"

"Maybe over Christmas break," I said. "That's coming up in only a couple of months. I can stay with you wherever."

"Any special place you want to visit?"

"Anywhere with you is just fine with me."

"Come here. Let me kiss you at the top of this Ferris wheel," he said and I smiled. We both leaned on the edge of our seats across from each other. His hands cupped my face and mine gripped his thighs as our lips met in a passionate French kiss. He tasted just as chocolaty as always. We pulled away seconds later and I tugged at his shirt before he could move away.

"More."

He raised an eyebrow before biting my bottom lip. I stared in amazement at him. My body tingling with need. I just wanted longer kisses with him. He was so gentle and tender. And I just loved that. It made me crave to be closer. I wanted to be held, spoiled, loved so badly. But right. And I knew Kol could be that guy, the one I wanted to take care of me.
