While waiting for the food to arrive, I decided that I might just pay a visit to the restroom to freshen up and I slipped out of my chair.

'I'm gonna run to the restroom.' I didn't give him a chance to respond as I got up and walked towards where the restrooms were. A group of men sat not so far, every single one of their eyes on me. And I doubted they were thinking nice thoughts.

Some were overweight and others were lanky and sickeningly thin, but the one sat in the middle who looked like he was definitely very fit and probably spent more time at the gym than he did at home. Unlike the other men who were staring at parts of my body that they definitely shouldn't be staring at, his eyes were glued to my face as he studied me with a smirk.

I glared at him from across the space, practically stomping into the bathroom and slamming the door behind me. I was seething and I could feel my face flush as I stared at myself in the mirror.

Breathe Mila, breathe.

I finished my business and walked out of the restroom, ignoring the uncomfortable glances the men kept giving me, sliding back into my seat. Alexander was tapping away on his phone and the food was already in front of us. From across the space I could feel the several eyes on my every move and I wanted nothing more than to go up and punch them but being the petite girl I was, I didn't want to cause a commotion in the small restaurant.

I didn't look at Alexander again, as I grabbed random items of food and piled my plate with them, gorging it all down quickly so I we could leave quicker. When Alexander did finally look up he seemed to notice the shift in my mood and gave me a confused frown but didn't say anything.

We finished our meal in silence and when Mira came back to collect the plates, I thanked her for the meal and told her I'd definitely come back again. When I got up from my seat and waited for Alexander, I glanced towards the table of the men and saw it was empty. I sighed in relief and even managed to put a small smile on my face.

Because Mira wouldn't hear of us paying, Alexander slipped out some money and left it on the small receptionist desk, knowing Mira would be out any second to see it. Quickly we left the restaurant, so Mira couldn't attempt to choke us on curry and I found myself thankful for the fresh air the engulfed me.

And then my eyes landed on them.

They were leaned against the darkness of the restaurant but they were definitely there, all laughing and smoking. All of their eyes on me. The one closest to the light was the Mr Gym Man and he smirked when he caught me looking at him.

'Hey there gorgeous.' He stepped into the light and blew a ring of smoke. I turned to see Alexander's eyes zeroed in on the man as he studied him. Truth be told, Alexander could easily take down the disgusting excuse of a man.

'What do you say, we go for a ride-' he nodded towards his rusty little car, the smirk clear on his stupid face. '-and then we can go back to my place and that tight little ass can ride something else.' I gaped at the nerve of him for a moment before snapping back to look at Alexander who's eyes were still on the man.

And then, Alexander began to walk towards his car.

I gaped at him for a second, my heart racing in my chest before I ran up to him and grabbed his arm. 'I'm sorry but did you not hear what that man said to me?!' I hissed at him, my eyes wide with disbelief. He blinked at me.

'Yes, Millana, I heard loud and clear what he said to you.' I waited for him to continue. To defend me. To stand up for me. To even just tell the man to fuck off. But he didn't. He just looked at me like I was trying to tell him bananas were yellow.

'And you're not going to do something about it?' Heat rushed to my face and I could feel myself begin to shake with anger. I was never good at controlling my temper.
